ok, got a message from Spectrum Tanks - Home he said. "The Noble is 22 OD, 19 ID, AND 25.5mm in length". so if worst come to worst and we want a colored tank we will have to shave off 2.5mm from the 25.5mm Length.

I dont know what i was measuring in an earlier post but my dimensions were way off so i went back and fixed it to stop further confusion.

Jack, did you give him the dimentions of the hybrid elite tank? If its just a tad bit shorter surely he can cut them to the length we need and add another category to his page. Enough of us have the hybrid elites.

My spare tank should get in today but I would have to dig to find my micrometer.

I received my reply from from Vapor Craze the makers of the Noble 1 about button parts. my reply was. " We do offer certain parts of the device for replacement, however, as the buttons for the Noble 1 are individually serialized we can not offer them as replacement parts sold separately".

No worries. I popped the spring out. It is just pressed in to the white Delrin plastic piece. I then pressed in a threaded brass fitting with an adjustable brass screw. That way it can accommodate different sized batteries, ect. You press the button, spring loaded firing pin hits the brass fitting instead of the battery spring.View attachment 248191View attachment 248192

Well hopefully Ill be getting my hybrid elite and spare tank today and will be sending out the spare tank to spectrum tanks for a mock up for them to make the colored versions. Woot.

I did this mod last night and it worked like a charm. Absolutely no voltage drop! Thank you for the fix

Mine shipped out last week but seems to be having a bit of a vacation in Miami x 3 days, before it makes it's way here to Canada, according to USPS tracking - sigh.

I really appreciate the great info you all have shared about the button. It won't be the first time I've modded a device from China but I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishs they'd just get it right.

I have yet to buy a mod that didn't need a little tweeking...no matter if I spent $50 or $250. All part of the fun. The Elite is underwhelming out of the box, but was very simple to get it to perform.

The V 2 Elite looks really nice. Very similar to the Katana Hybrid that I have used for a couple years now. I'm really like the currant version though...the aluminum is so light compared to SS. I doubt that the anodized finish on the aluminum will hold up very well, but TheJack has it figured out with striping it down to bare metal. I'll do that when I get a couple beauty marks on it.
