Well, those are Parent links.
However no available information to me on Wholesale advertising to Vendors.

Was also there.......Waiting and waiting ,.............and waiting........for Stock availability when they were first released.

Got rather Frustrating...........:glare:.................Until others started entering the game and people had choices.

Hmmm, that sounds familiar somehow :lol::lol:

I have a bunch of "hybrid look" adapters (20x.5, 20x1, and 21x1 from fusionmods, versa, and others). I've used them a few times to see how they look and take some photos but they mostly gather dust. One of my favorites is the Anatolian mods Hybrid Adapter v2 (20x1 threaded) because although it offers a hybrid look it has a 510 connection with an insulator and an adjustable battery pin, making it safer than the direct-to-battery adapters.

But, But, But.......................the 510 is not attaching to the Body:shock:

j/k around
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Many of my 510=regulated mod

I was referring specifically to the pics of the two atomizers, and the post below them
I probably should have said that.

And correct, if it has a 510, it's not a hybrid.

To my understanding and I speak of myself and my experience vaping, any atty and tube connection without the use of a top cap or 510 connection was considered a hybrid or hybrid connection.

Now that being said and to keep it simple, Over the years modders have made and introduced diffrent types of hybrids, hybrid connections, and hybrid adapters connecting the atty directly to the battery without the use of a topcap or extra adjustable positive pin.

True Hybrids have been around for a long time. They are probably the safest of mechanical devices.

The first hybrid-look adapters, as crxess posted, had adjustable centerpins and insulators.
They were not intended to improve performance. They were designed to give a seamless, flush, hybrid look.
A faux hybrid.

To avoid confusing new vapers we try not to misuse the terminology.

+1. A "Hybrid" or "True Hybrid" is one where the atomizer is threaded for the battery tube and does not use a 510 connection. A "Faux Hybrid" or "Hybrid Look" uses a 510 connection with the atty positive contact directly connecting to the battery. This photo set shows a Fakir's Mods FX-22 with the 18650 tube and a Fakir's Mods Troy 2 Dripper. Both items can be used as either 510 connected mod and atty, or as a true hybrid system.

The mod and atty out of the box:

The mod with the top cap removed and the atty with the 510 adapter removed:

The mod an atty assembled as a true hybrid:

Finally, a photo of the two top caps that come with a Wotofo Phantom mod, 510 with center pin to the left, faux hybrid top to the right:

Would the Kennedy Ruby be considered a hybrid? The atomizer a seamless non-detachable part of the tube.

That's an example of why the description 'hybrid' is not a good description.

I do not know the threading on the Kennedy Ruby, but assuming for example that it is an m20x1 female thread, then it can be described as an m20x1 female threaded atty.
The typical atty would be a 510 threaded atty (m9x1? male threaded atty)
The 3d truehybrid rda would be an m20x0.5 male threaded atty.
The elm truehybrid rda would be an m20x1 male threaded atty.
The GP Heron truehybrid rta would be an m20x1 male threaded atty.

here's one I haven't seen in a while:
The aqua has a pronounced centerpin emphasising the meaning of truehybrid: not sure the threading, but it's maybe m20x1 male:

Is that a topcap attached to the one on the right?

truehybrid means it's one piece; but if you have a bunch of topcaps and leave them permanently fixed to your atty's then you simulate truehybrid functionality. I bought and use a tenpack of chiyou topcaps for that purpose.

The Kennedy Ruby could *probably* be considered a hybrid, as there is no 510.
The Kennedy Ruby is basically a Kennedy 24 + Roundhouse mod built out of one piece of metal, the base/deck of the Kennedy 24 is also the mod, the button comes out of the bottom like a SMPL to remove the battery.

Again, when it comes to "faux hybrids" don't even use the word hybrid when referring to them, call them a pinless topcap mech and let's put an end to the confusion.

True hybrid does not mean "one piece".
That is incorrect.
