well u could just go with a few atomizers and a few cartomizers that aren't rebuildable 1st? atomizers are only 3 to 6 dollars on most sites and cartos are packs of five, for 6 to 10 dollars. A $6 510 atomizer (not rebuildable) will typically last up to 2 months. a cartomizer will last up to 2 weeks (they last especially long in a carto tanks, the constant juice extends their life) give or take a week with the cheaper made ones. Boge makes a good carto. Most cartomizers are great. Usually, the higher the resistance and the lower the voltage you use, the longer your disposable carto or atty will last. A 1.5ohm to 2ohm cartomizer will last 1-2 weeks. A 3ohm carto can last up to 3 weeks, sometimes even longer.

When I 1st started vaping, I got a box of five 3 ohm boge cartos with my e-cig, and 2-3 of those cartos lasted me around a month each. So, disposables are a great option for a new vaper, trust me... a lot of us... Actually, I'd go as far as saying MOST of us, use cartomizer tanks. cartomizer tanks are almost a must have in my opinion. especially for a new vaper. You can't go wrong with a nice pyrex glass carto tank. Just make sure you get 45mm pre-punched cartos for the larger tanks. (which are the most common ones you'll see, unless you buy a standard sized tank from IBT or Phiniac.. which i dont recommend unless you buy a carto puncher. (available from IBTanked.com, Phiniac.com, and Madvapes.com, & more)

If you want an RBA, they sell a bunch of them here:
Rebuildable Atomizers

they are all clones out of china so you can get one on the cheap to play with before you decide if they are for you. Make sure whichever one you choose comes with some mesh and wire. I would recommend one with a clear tank so you can see the wick inside in case your cap doesn't line up with the wick (a common clone problem). You won't need to drip with a mesh wick, the tank and mesh drip for you!

but if you must have a dripping RBA, they have one there also.

To the OP, as a Ihy owner, I am not upset, you made what you feel is the right choice for you, and in the end that is what is important.

If your going to WANT to get into fixed voltage hybrids and gennys, you need to first get a good understanding for a good vape. Variable voltage with an ohm meter is exactly what you'll need starting out. an ohm meter can be had cheaply, but that provari is gonna help a lot, especially with shorts. A provari has enough safety features to allow you to screw up without worrying about harming your PV or your battery or yourself. So I highly recommend the Provari first if your serious about becoming hobbyist.

Its really no contest in my opinion.

While I agree with you on you need a ohm meter, I do not agree that everyone needs to learn on a provari. Yes a provari has built in safety features, but not all genesis are the same in the way they perform or the way you need to set them up just as not all pv's handle the same. I use a genesis all the time, but I have never owned a provari.

They both use VERY different approaches to do essentially the same thing.
......
And they are both hard to get, but have very high resale value so if you decide you don't like them, you will probably be able to get most of your money back on the second-hand market...

I fully agree they are completely different ways of doing things, neither is right or wrong, it is personal preference.

They are both fairly easy to get tho. Don't take long to log into provape and order a provari if of course you can afford it. And the iHybrid while I can't say it is in stock all of the time Faceless does he best to make sure there is stock every 2 weeks, this last run is of 700 if I remember correctly. The Orion which some love was just on sale last night at 310. I even understand there is some Zen stuff soon to be out.

RBA's are great, but there is a learning curve. The Z-Atty is at the top of the list on quality, but you can't lay it on it's side or it will leak from my understanding. If I were you, I would consider gettting a cheap clearomizer or cartomizer to go along with your RBA.

The Cobra is right up there with it and it DOESN'T leak upside down or on its side except from the wick. No juice whatsoever comes out the fill hole when open. Love it.
