I, as many, have a little trouble tightening up the carto when using the Liquinator. I have a J tank as well and that's a b*tch to fill since the fittings are so tight. I was looking at how nice my aluminum Liquinator looks and came up with this idea. I put the J Tank fittings on the bottom of the tanks and the Liquinator fittings on the top. When I fill I remove the Liquinator top and can fill while installed on the mod. It goes back on very easy and the pressure from the J Tank fitting makes it easy to tighten the carto. Now I have 2 good looking tanks (in my opinion) as opposed to 1 nice one and 1 plain one.

Hope this helps :)

What a fabulous idea you have come up with!!! I use both Liquinators and J-tanks and, like you, I refill both of them from the top. However refilling the J-tank is not easy & fast, it takes a few minutes .. but must say I love everything else about the J-tank much better than the Liquinator. That said, I prefer how fast I can refill my Liquinators from the "top" and have wished I could refill my J-tanks as simple and fast. Your solution is the very BEST of both world's, the perfect fit of the J-tank (no sliding or leaking) combined with the simplicity and speed of top filling the Liquinator .. hooray for you! I'm going to convert my tanks to your system right now, thank you!

Personally, I've never had any "looseness" issues with my SS LQ, but I know that many have had to deal with this issue. This looks like a good solution for those who need it, beezer.

For me it's more about a simple, fast way to fill the J-tank. I like the J-tanks better than the Liquinators, but filling a J-tank is is not a lot of fun. Now with a Liquinator top cap on my J-tanks it is super easy and fast to fill.

Ahh, I see what you mean. I understand your reasoning behind it. I usually don't refill by taking the cap off because I find that , for me, it seems to flood the carto when I put the cap back on from the pressure that gets created. I just flip the LQ over and push the threaded side of the carto in until there is gap and add juice. But, whatever works, right? :)

I can fill the J-tank the same way, from the bottom, but it's a pain in the rear end .. it's also a pain to fill the J-tank from the top :D But now, with the looser fitting Liquinator top on the J-tank it is simple to fill the J-tank plus I can fill the J-tank all the way up .. love Beezer's idea. My preference is to the J-tank anyway, the only thing I didnt like about them was the filling process, but now that Beezer solved that issue my J-tanks are perfect in every way ;-)

Wish Jason would make some silver J-tanks because I dont like having the black bottom of the J-tank on my silver Provari <hint hint to Jason>.

That doesn't work very easy with the J Tank Vaporologist. Some of us have noticed that some of the Boge cartos are thinner in diameter and this makes for more slippage with the Liquinator as well. You appear to avoid the Boge cartos and when you find the perfect mix bring me up to speed ;)

Haha, well, as you know, my experience with tanks is very limited so I'm definitely not an expert in the field, I'm just commenting on what is working for me. LQ is my first and only tank ever and, for me, it works as I expected it too. But I am familiar with the reality that others are having issues which I'm not experiencing. I only used a total of five Boges in mine since I got them pre-slotted with the purchase and I didn't care for them very much, couldn't get them to last more than a couple of days each. IKV Gold V2s worked much better for me at about 5V. ATM I'm using my LQ with DC cartos at 6V and I'm just in heaven. They wick really quickly and seems to hold up well at this voltage for many days. And TH is out of this world with just short 2-3 second drags...

That's my whole tank experience to date so that's all I got :)
