Maybe I *could* understand Hyon's position *if* those letters were sent *after* those reviews were made, and *if* those reviews were a blatant, intentional attack on Hyon's products - for example, resorting to the same lies, misinformation and half-truths so well known to us vapers.
However, if those reviews were fair, stating exactly why, *in the reviewer's honest opinion*, is the "clone" of Hyon's atomizer better than the "original" - double quotes, because it seems that Hyon did not even create the postless design in the first place - then that all-mighty attitude from Hyon would already be uncalled for, *in my honest opinion*. No-one is *forced* to buy product A over B after seeing a review. If the viewer decides that the opinion being posted is biased, or if he as a different opinion, then he might buy product B anyway, *despite* the reviewer's stated opinions.
And now, add the fact that Hyon sent those letters even *before* the reviewers had a chance to say anything...!

If a company makes such a crappy product that there may be *honest* opinions about it being inferior to a much cheaper "clone", don't potential buyers have the right to know those opinions?

If I bought one of these, and became really dissatisfied with it, should't I be allowed to *not* recomend it to my fellow vapers?

The point that many people are missing is that Hyon's actions actually have little to do with the reviews or the reviewers (in my opinion). The letters sent are being wrongly identified as C&D notices. I was told that they were pre-C&D notices. With those letters, the company has established paper trails that show that it's actively trying to enforce its trademarks. In America, trademarks have to be self-policed. To borrow a line from LegalZoom.com, "Actively policing a trademark is necessary to ensure it is not deemed invalid." With all of that in mind, I believe that Hyon's actions were a precursor to something bigger.

Again, I don't necessarily agree with the company's approach, but I do think many people are missing the bigger picture.
