I have a provari, but to tell you the honest truth I don't use it anymore. It can't handle the coils I make, where my REO can. And once you find what works for you there is no sense in using something that doesn't. It is just that I found out I like dripping and that is where the REO shines.

but I like the Phiddies better. I got a Phidias first, which I bought as a showpiece, not expecting to use often, but I discovered that I like bottom-feeders. The Phiddies are made of wood, so I got a Reo for durability when I go out. I like the Reo, but still liked the Phiddie more, so I decided that I would take the ProVari when I go out and use the Phiddie at home. Poor Reo isn't getting much love.

I would have bought a Woodvil had there been one available.
I thought it kinda nice since it doesn't have the bottle and tubing. Roughly the same size otherwise, by the look of it. Any specific reason EZ?

Confidentially, what I bought isn't to my taste, either. The Woodvil was definitely more what I wanted but I was insane. Well, still AM insane. HEH

They are hard to get due to small runs and expensive. I think they look very cool, but everyone I know who bought one has sold it. Not for any specific reason I could discern, except maybe it wasn't quite what they wanted. Personally, I prefer a ProVari and a bottom-feeder.
Guess I need to check out the Phidias's. Am waiting for the Woodvil's to come out and try to get one. Though now I want a silver satin mini ProVari too.

Phidias is hit and miss. Fono makes them when he feels like it; it's a hobby for him. He's been experimenting with something else lately and I was worried he wouldn't make any of the simple bottom-feeders anymore (I don't think he's made any new ones since last April). I told him to look in his garage and send me another one. I didn't get a color choice. Lol!

There are others if you look around. There is one, I think from France, that is amazing. I'm going to have to track it down again. I looked all over the world before I chose the Phidias. Fono makes them in ratio to the Golden Mean, which floored me. He had me at Fibonacci.
