which was the point of the OP and the replies... i wish i could just go to a shop and say "hey i'm having a bit of trouble, any of you familiar with this?", but i'm rural and not a decent shop near me... instead i need to watch a lot of videos that i would be ashamed of... and they're actually asking for upvotes...
Well @Cheallaigh this is a solution just pack up the family the business and move near a vape shop! LOL! 
LMFAO! I must remember that one, but also do not forget that ID-10-T's are in every walk of life and every location but there is a certain type to fall in your classification that can't be denied! Oh Gawd I am still laughing! Good One!
But it's utube, it's not all professional vudeos, they are what they are, I just don't see why someone would complain about them, makes no sense..

i live in "cottage country" all year round and must suffer that sub-species to come north every year... they can't drive, or pilot boats, and ruin the fishing...
it actually wasn't a "professional reviewer" that finally showed me what i needed to see ironically enough, this time.
Just because a majority of video reviews for vaping are on You Tube does not mean it is the only source. And people like to complain because of the reactions they get for example how some are so shocked because they get annoyed.
I'm pretty set in my ways, as to what mods I use, so that eliminates the vast majority of product reviews. I only use mechanical squonkers; so I'm not looking for reviews of the latest regulated mod. I am always keeping my eye out for bf attys, however; and if there is a new one, I'll search out a couple reviews before I buy. I will look for reviews if there's a particular skill I'm interested in learning.
Like anybody else, there are reviewers and video makers I like, some I don't, and some that drive me nuts. But I don't have any particular loyalty to any single reviewer. I'll take the info wherever I can get it, from whoever takes the time and effort to put it out there.

If the reviewer got whatver he is reviewing for free or even gets any kind of payment for doing the review, I'd like to know upfront.

HAHAHAH...yup citidiots, that great. I also live in the middle of nowhere where we rarely lock our doors and able to leave items in the yard and not have them stolen so when we go to the nearest well city of 25,000 is a hour away were sure glad to get back home. Going to Kelowna or Calgary I just go hog wild and join the masses of citidiots, its a fun change but living in smalltown BC for the last 25 years I can't handle the pace of big cities and having to stand in line for just about everything.
Watch out about unlocked doors. Dau. lives several miles outside of Fairbanks off a dirt road was recently robbed of all jewelry (most heirlooms), cash, Soc. Sec. card, and delivered package by UPS. Seems the lady was following the UPS truck to steal packages left on doorstep and tried the unlocked door. Fat haul that one. Used pillow case to carry booty. Dau. lived in same place for 20 yrs. and thought exactly as you. Now "stuff" from her great, great grandmothers are history.
If someone films themself, promotes and distributes the film on a public hosting platform, and encourages views, it would be mentally deficient to expect viewers to not have an opinion.
Its more than fair game, its encouraged by the poster.
Yeah, i figure if someone starts a thread by stating they are annoyed with vape videos then it's a pretty good way to start a discussion about the whole idea of posting vape vidoes on youtube.
If i were to start making vape vidoes then i would have to develop a protocol before committing anything to film. 1) I wouldn't show my face. 2) I wouldn't talk, just add text to the screen. 3) I would only film a plan view of the subject matter. Etc, etc, etc, etc. Just plan the whole thing from start to finish. Then i'd maintain the exact same style for evey video i make.
Kind of reflects how concerned i would be about getting it right and also deflecting any kind of negative feedback about presentation, personal opinions etc. Just make a video which displays pragmatism and would simply only be about the subject matter.
It wouldn't turn out to be a review. It would more like an instructional video as to how how a certain piece of hardware can/should be dismantled, reassembled and operated. I think those three things there would be the only aspects of any tutorial i'd be interested in, whether on the viewing side of the camera or otherwise.

Nelson is a adventure all on its own. Fun town in the summer with all its unique tourists that flock in. It still amazes me how many people from all over know of Nelson BC, soon as I say I live a hour away from Nelson BC they've heard of it.
