As I sit here writing this, I'm just completely blown away. I got my device Friday, a Janty Stick V3. Being completely new to this "vapping" I had no idea what the heck I was looking for. Thanks to some great You Tube Vids, my choice was the Janty Stick. Anyways I've been a smoker for ummm, damn 30 years and I probably smoked 25 of them and was able to quit twice. Just Friday, I wanted to be done with analogs - forever! My Janty was to arrive after work and I has 1 pack of smokes. The very second of my very first Vap I knew that very instant that this was my way out. I'm sad to say that of all the things great the ol' mighty ciggy was my only handicap. No matter how hard I tried this damn thing had me so bad it was simply impossible to get away from my addiction.

4 Days later I'm smoke free - for life! I know this isn't excactly the best route out but as least the road is paved. Only long time smokers will even understand. I'm glad I'm not alone!

I am completely blown away! ...

Hey there fellow Texan!.. Yessiree! Same thing happened to me!:w00t:

..The very second of my very first Vap I knew that very instant that this was my way out.

Again...My experience EXACTLY !!

Only long time smokers will even understand. I'm glad I'm not alone!

Well you sure as hell ain't alone there buddy! -- I myself, was a heavy smoker for well over 40 years. -- I had virtually resigned myself to giving up any hope of ever being able to quit smoking. Depression was a heavy dark cloud hanging over me every day about it for years!

When I stumbled onto "Vaping" last September.... it was almost like I had been granted reprieve from a death sentence!
-- Like being Re-Born-Again ...(or something like that) :nun:
Totally unexpected!! And the most exciting (but humbling) re-awakening I can remember. Brings a lump to my throat..and a tear to the eye just thinking about it

Cheers Amigo!

3n-out,
Welcome to the ECF. I have been a smoker for 30+ years and a pack and a half a day. I haven't had an analog since Halloween. I find that I can't stand the smell of a cigarette. I never thought it was possible. Now you need to get into mixing your own juice. It is a lot of fun and the flavor combination's are endless. Enjoy and keep reading this forum, you will find a great deal of information.:)

3n-out: You got your first PV the same day as I did mine. And, the description of your experience sounds like I could have written it myself. Well, better put since I'm no word king, but the same kind of experience. I've been a 1-2 pack a day smoker for 35 years. I was totally SHOCKED that I didn't even want to smoke an analog ... immediately after my induction to vaping! Instantly! I'd done nicotine replacement patches years ago, and they failed me. Vaping IS nicotine replacement, but it succeeds where the others fail, IMO, because it allows you to "smoke" ... something to handle, "smoke" to inhale and exhale. Those are the things gum, patches and so on lack. And, for us long time smokers, that's a critical issue.

Some people have not been able to instantly quit analogs. My feeling is that whether or not you can instantly drop analogs by vaping somehow relates to what portion of your addiction is chemical vs. what part is habitual.

I've been asked by co-workers who know what I'm up to if I'm going to quit vaping eventually. I can't say that I know the answer. Maybe, maybe not. In either case, it is a less harmful way to feed the addiction to nicotine.

Reading first hand accounts here, yours, mine and many others, one has to wonder why the powers that be aren't promoting eCigs at a governmental level. It's the damndest thing, that so many people who have been smoking since Nixon was President (and longer), people who have given up hope of dropping the coffin nails ... do it, instantly! This technology should be endorsed by the AMA ... by everyone really. Such is not the case though. There are powerful forces trying to bury eCigs. .......s.

Welcome to the club, I went from 1-1.5 packs of camel crush to pure ecig use overnight. I tried an analog the day after I got my parts and couldnt stand the taste. This was the 2nd and final time I quit with an ecig. I had gotten some crappy ecigarello tube thing back in 08 sometime that lasted 2 weeks before taking a dump on me, their shipping was like 22 dollars so I never got another one and went back to analogs. However I havent had a cig since march. Taste and smell are back full force and its wonderful.

I have been smoking for 45 years with only a couple of breaks for 1 or 2 or 3 months during all that time . I do not have the will power to stop because when something goes wrong I fall back to a cigarette and start all over again.
I have been told by doctors for the last ten years I must stop and now I have breathing difficulty's and still smoke the wretched things.
Then I found the E-cig and this forum. I have not yet tried the E-cig but I have already convinced myself that this is my final escape. But trouble is I live in Australia where they have banned this solution.
But there is some good news as the following will explain.

I'm so glad to see how many people had the same positive effect as me.

I have been a 1.5pack a day smoker for 10+ years. I've been vaping for 7 days now, and have had NO urge to smoke an analog. I ran out of my prefilled carts and am now awaiting some ejuice. Unfortunately I've been dabbling in analogs while I wait, and I honestly can't stand the taste/smell... Vaping is so much more "pure" and "clean". I love it. I feel that it satisfies me *more* than any cig ever did. I love it. I thank it.

Wishing you all the best. Cheers.

For the second time this week, I drove to work enjoying a hot cup of coffee and a good vap - With the windows up! :pI have to admit that was quite a treat since I always drive with my window cracked just to smoke an analog. I feel good, better then I expected 4 days into this path with no smokes. Yeah, I can't say that it is still taking a little will power but the vap kills it quite quickly. These devices are amazing as an avenue off of ciggy's. I'm extremely happy that I found this device and I can't wait to talk to my doctor about this. I'm not sure how he'll feel, but he hasn't smoked for 30 years either so he has no clue the addition level of those damn analogs.

All in all I believe that anyone that even thinks this device should not be allowed is wacked. This is the best thing since sliced bread for smokers.

I'm stoked that I have a great chance to kill this nasty habit once and for all.

Good to hear another long time smoker has seen the light xD Good choice on doing some research beforehand, seems alot of ppl dont and then get put off when they buy a crappy e-cig and dont like it.

Thanks! The Janty has worked well for 5 days.. I hope it doesn't take a dump when I need it most. :) I do have another atty.

Really? it's not? because I say using something that kills off airborne bacteria and reduces your chance at getting parkinson's disease by 50% is the best route out.

I knew I was in good company after lurking around and reading for the last couple of days. Have you noticed any benifits from kickin' the ol' tobacco habit and moving to vapping?

I haven't completely given up analogues since i started vaping 5 days ago, BUT the first day i tried it i didn't have one analogue all day..first time in ages. I still find the first one of the day and possibly one after a meal very tempting, but i am impressed at how good these ecigs are at holding your cravings.
And after the second day of using it i noticed i was breathing a lot easier, and didn't have that tight bunged up lung feeling. I was amazed at how diferent it felt.
I do agree with the comments above at why governments aren't taking this more seriously as a way of reducing the vast amounts of lung cancer related deaths both here and in the usa. I'm sure they have been convinced that there is a huge nicotine conspiracy going on that is trying to convert the future generations to smoke by introducing them to "fruit" flavoured nicotine inhalators. What absolute ....***s!!!!
