I had lots of problems with harsh taste on the nautilus mini. New coils only helped for a day. I am sure part of this is somehow user error. But still I moved on to RDA's

My taste buds\olfactory combo is extremely fickle. Some days juices taste awesome, some days they have just an odd after taste, and some days they are like vaping flavorless liquid. Same juice, same device, fresh wicks. I am not sure if this will even out the further I get from my last cigarette? I just vape menthol those days or juice I don't like. The only thing that has helped is lots of water and menthol eliquid. And some days this still doesn't help.

Plain nic base will have a slightly peppery flavor to it. Though at 12mg it should be fairly mild especially in clearomizers. Sort of reminds me of nicorette gum except that I don't hate the flavor of it at 12. 18 - 24mg/ml starts to get much stronger pepper taste to me.

I plan on buying a Lemo after the holidays. But I have ordered enough vape stuff before Christmas. The Lemo requires you to build your own coils and have an appropriate power source. Yeah you can build coils on a spinner type battery that will work but not optimally. The lemo based on reviews has the most airy draw of any RTA on the market. Which I like.

Edit- the other thing that cuts through the fog for me is Grandmas Cinnamon Danish from Nicoticket! that stuff fresh you WILL taste.

Thank you for taking your time to answer all my concerns. I will try to buy some unflavored nic, If I am vaping unflavored nic, is it suppose to not have any taste? I will definitely try Virgin Vapors. I tried Blue which is the old school cartomizers and I did not like them at all. Can you recomend a clearomizer that gives warm vape? The nautalis mini seems very cool. Thank you again for all your help. I will defnitely report back to you guys!!!

No; if you vape unflavored it most definitely has a taste, which is why it's so important to try it out - get get to know what the baseline taste is.

Especially from different vendors; if you hate one vendors "unflavored" then chances are, you'll always find their flavors have a yuk to them.
If you actually like one vendors 'unflavored', then you might as well try their flavors.

There are various additives that vendors add, such as sucralose, ethyl malthol, peg400; sometimes there's a taste in a vendors flavor that you could just do without, and it's in all their flavors! So the bad taste may not actually part of the flavor, but a part of the base they are using; its the 'unflavored' part.

Replace the metal drip tip with one made of glass.
Replace plastic bottles with amber glass bottles that have a dropper.
Try different air flow settings. A fraction of an inch can make a substantial difference.
Use Everclear or Vodka for soaking the coils. Avoid isopropyl alcohol.
If all else fails use effervescent denture tablets to loosen the gunk in the atomizer.
Some flavors may be retained in the atomizer no matter what you do. Test this by sucking on the atomizer after it is cleaned and dried
Blow on the atomizer to remove the water which could retain some of the last flavor used.
Provide the names of the brands and flavors of the juices you have tried. Include the problems you have had with each. This may help to resolve some of the problems. For example, some flavors reek of alcohol or have an acetone taste.
What is your steeping method?

oh, re that metal taste; there's a recent thread about those tanks having chrome plated brass center tubes instead of steel; that's one issue; as another poster just suggested, there's also the drip tip to consider if you're using the metal drip tip;

I use ceramic drip tips myself;

As I am new, I don't know how much help i can be.

I bought an aspire tank. I had to rebuild it and remove a coil. After that was done, the difference was phenomenal. The taste was there, no dry hits etc. After a day or so, I started experiencing burnt plastic taste. I changed my juice which is something I don't normally do. I tend to use the same stuff forever then change it when I run out. I changed my juice to a different brand and the whole experience was totally different. I blame a lot of my problem on my battery not supporting my tank and also the juice itself.

This is a HUGE learning curve for me. I have to ask myself all the time if it's worth quitting smokes over and it's totally worth it.
