Oh, wow, that's a gorgeous gem. I had a geode forever and one day I met this old man who cuts them, so I gave it to him to cut for me. He took off with it and I never heard from him again! I still wonder what it looked like inside :( Lot of agate around here, but I've never heard of sunstone. Me likey.

Sorry to hear about your geode. That is why I decided to start cutting my own rough because, I could not find someone trustworthy enough to send my stones to.

This guy had a booth set up in this Peddler's Mall (like an indoor flea market) and he had coasters and jewelry and stuff he had made, so I thought it would be safe. After I couldn't get him on the phone, I went by and his booth (and my geode) were gone. I'd had that dang thing for 20 years at that point, so it was kind of a heartbreak. That's so cool you have all your own stuff. I think it's amazing how something that looks like a plain ole rock polishes up so nicely.
