Once you have 5 posts you can comment almost anywhere outside of the new members forum. I guess it helps prevent spam. There is a FAQ thread in here that tells you what you can do at each posting level.

What do you mean heating it? Sunlight, and excessive heat can break down the strength of nicotine.
