With a night off it give me some time to reflect back on the week, and it makes me very sad..

Vapables is now just a white screen. Rob and I may not have always seen eye to eye, but darn I did respect his business. He had been around before I started vaping, and was a company I just couldn’t picture not having around in the vaping community. I even confess to ordering his product because I was interested in them, to a different address so not to be detected ;). I can really say that was an honest to goodness company that, yeah was out to make some money like any business, but had the best interests of vapers above all.

NFN.. Who hasn’t watched Primo’s reviews? You know that guy is a true vapor, and part of the community. He provided a valuable service to the west coast, with only good reviews, to only end up neutered by HC.

Juicy Clear.. Starts up a CANADIAN company, producing a great product, BEATING the Chinese at their own game!! Juicy Clear sales were growing from the start to outpace Dekang, with nothing but great reviews. In a time where there is a vacuum to jobs going to China, and we are being killed by them, we have a true Canadian success story of where we can complete and win. That’s the sort of company allowed to grow that will bring jobs and PRIDE back to Canada. All that JUST TO BE KILLED BY OUR OWN GOVERNMENT!!!!

HC please tell me what you accomplished this week.. Do not hide behind “we are just doing our job” that is a pathetic excuse for being a steamroller of destruction. I hold each one of you accountable, and if you are any sort of person of any worth you should feel ashamed of your cowardly, self severing, self righteous and utterly destructive actions!! Plague on you and your family HC, as that is what you are brought on this community and its members!!

I feel just terribly for you and the other vendors! You are in such a tight spot. On the one hand, you want to operate an honest business that you know will save lives...on the other, you feel the pressure of being a "law abiding citizen whose status as such has changed literally overnight". My stomach is turning, so I can just imagine how you must be feeling!

I keep fuming over this whole frickin' thing. We need to group up somehow and do something! I feel so helpless...

Its very sad but they have accomplished exactly what they wanted to, shut down e-cig juice and protect their own interests BT and BP

Those ....**ds haven't shut down ejuice entirely. They can't, and won't accomplish it. I really wish the feds weren't so damned ignorant. It would be so much better for them to make money off of us than to create another "illicit" market that they will have very little control of whatsoever. In fact, it will be harder to control ejuice than a street drug, since we already have the right to use the stuff.

RACHEL I hope you found some good people who can straighten those freaks out.

They cant, but it wont stop them from trying. They have mega interests to protect and we are interfereing in those interests. if R.J Reynolds came out with an e-cig with nicotine juice, you better believe it would be legal within a month.

Well, RJ didn't come out with the Staccato, so maybe that's why it didn't end up flying (I think). I find it hard to believe, though, that they aren't trying to come up with *something* that is going to parallel ecigs.

I am not a "longtimer" here, but I've been following ecf chatter about the Staccato, and newer members might find it interesting to learn of it, if they haven't already...as far as I know, Staccato has had millions poured into it, only to be quashed, so I guess there are some BP developers who didn't even succeed. Maybe BT is bigger than BP?? Mind you, compared to ecigs as we know it, this thing blows.

I'm too tired to read over the threads here to repost here, but it's had a lot of chatter here on ecf (search "staccato") but you can see that there is effort on the part of Alexsa to give precisely dosed units of nicotine to users via the 'vaporization of a solid' (thus prescribing to the idea of nic as a drug).

So, are they working to quash us, or did the even bigger BT quash them as well as us??

AlbertaClipper, thank you hon. We'll find 'em...and HC will be held accountable. Though for the record, our suit will not be on behalf of the suppliers...but rather, on behalf of the many Canadians who use electronic cigarettes.

You'll be pleased to hear that I spent a good portion of time today on the phone, following up with lawyers from several firms. The day before, the email dialogue between us & one particular firm was a rich & encouraging one (we expect to hear back from them by Monday). We've been reaching out to quite a few, in order to have the best chance of getting counsel in place & the suit rolling ASAP. If things don't gel into place with a Toronto firm this coming week, we'll extend the net to firms in other provinces across Canada.

See the thing is, law firms (especially class-action ones) can only properly handle so many cases at a time...cases which can sometimes take years...so they really have to pick & choose. A lawyer at one was very kind in explaining why they had declined the case - he said it was by no means an indication that there's anything wrong with our case, and that they've passed up fine clients with solid cases many times before. Their team is just swamped right now - that, and the people there had only barely even heard of e-cigs. He said client acceptance was often a "triage" situation. They just felt ours would be a suit better handled by someone else. Which is fine. Toronto's a big place, and Canada's even bigger.

There are other issues too (not the least of which includes that this is not the sort of suit that can be resolved with a settlement) that factor into attracting good counsel.

It may take a little while, but until we have our legal counsel formally in place...I promise we will continue to actively seek it out, every day (well, every business day).

As much as we seriously wish we could just curl up at home, imagine that it'll all fix itself somehow, relax & say "let someone else handle it" (I mean, no one wants to focus on stressful confrontation all the live long day...it's the complete opposite of how we want to spend our life) - we can't take the chance that someone else might not step up to the plate. So no one is giving up. The law is entirely on our side in these matters, and we believe it is gravely necessary to stand now - in court - on behalf of every vaper, & challenge HC's illegal behaviour.

---

To Rob...sorry you're feeling blue hon. We understand. Comforting hugs for you.

I have to admit, yesterday I was a bit blue, not about my company though, instead I remember what it was like to run out of juice, that helpless alone feeling like I was being forced back to analogs and feeling like a prisoner after time in the yard and I know that by closing I have let some people feel like that. It isnt sitting well with me.

Rise Today

The wind is blowing cold
Have we lost our way tonight?
Have we lost our hope to sorrow?

Feels like we're all alone
Running further from what's right
And there are no more heroes to follow

So what are we becoming?
Where did we go wrong?

[Chorus:]
Yeah, oh yeah
I want to rise today
And change this world

Yeah, oh yeah
Oh, won't you rise today
And change this world?

The sun is beating down
Are we ever gonna change
Can we stop the blood from running?

Our time is running out
Hope we find a better way
Before we find we're left with nothing

For every life that's taken
So much love is wasted

[Chorus:]
Yeah, oh yeah
I want to rise today
And change this world

Yeah, oh yeah
So won't you rise today
And change

This world
Only love can set it right
This world
If only peace would never die

Seems to me that we've got each other wrong
Was the enemy just your brother all along?

[Chorus:]
Yeah, oh yeah
I want to rise today
And change this world

Yeah, oh yeah
Oh won't you rise today
And change this world?

Yeah, oh yeah
I want to rise today
And change this world

Yeah, oh yeah
I want to rise today
And change this world
