I am stumped

Just got my Morpheus mod in the mail, and it must have serious voltage drop somewhere. Swapping rdas between it and my fuhattan with same batteries vapor is significantly decreased. Can anyone think of anything as the cause? .25 ohm build dual coil and both mods are copper.

I have had the chance to try quite a few different mech mods and the fuhattan is a pretty hard hitting mod, definitely up there with some of the best. I don't have experience with the morpheus but if the battery is making good connection and so is the atty then there must be a high internal resistance of the morpheus. Not really much you can do to fix it, at least to my knowledge, except maybe upgrade the contacts to a higher grade copper/silver plated if they are available. Also throwing magnets in the switch instead of springs, I don't know if it already has them, but that usually helps knock a little bit of the resistance created by the spring.

There may be a few other easy ways to help improve it but those are usually my go-to's to give it a little extra kick

Try a light coating of Ox-Gard in any threads that are part of the current path, especially at the top/bottom screw threads if they're bare copper. You can find it in Lowe's electrical dept for about $3.

Switch is a spring, so no-go there. I did dig into it a little and apparently when they clear coated the mod, the manufacturer didn't cover the threads. Some paint thinner and a q tip remedied that issue quickly. Just a heads up for anyone ordering a Morpheus.

Regardless, if those pins are bare copper, it will eventually oxidize and hit like crap again, so my suggestion remains.
