I am so amazed to read all of these success stories!

I am 53 and have smoked since I was 13. YIKES! I quit successfully once for about a year, but--well, let's just say I was much younger then and smoked more of something else... :laugh:

Traditional cigarettes have taken a physical toll, and I hope like crazy that I can soon join the "ex-analog" group. My kit came today and the battery is charging. My order from VaporBomb should be here in a few days.

Congrats to you, OP and others, for going the distance and for taking time to share your success stories! (And thanks for the heads up on the lethargy...at least I'll know it's normal if it happens to me!)

Hey man good luck! I would be willing to bet you'll be an ex smoker soon enough. Just stick with it, and don't over do it as far as trying to lay the cigs down right away. Don't get me wrong, if you take one vape and never look back, then awesome. For me it was about 3 weeks of doing both. It's hard to completely replace a habit you've been doing for that long right off the bat. Keep us posted, and happy vaping!

okwriter, there is a combination of three things that made all the difference for me being able to completely give up analogs;

1) Getting the right PV kit (or kits, in some cases) for you. I'm still looking at kits, and really eyeballing the Joye eGo. I fell into the Green Smokes gimmick starting off. I have now learned how to make this kit much, much cheaper to use until I can get an eGo, and I've purchased a Joye 501 PT.

2) Finding the right nicotine level. This definitely helped me with the cravings for analogs.

and 3) Finding flavors and combinations of PG/VG mixes that you really enjoy. It doesn't take long to become spoiled by all of the choices, and vaping is so clean that analogs will start tasting nasty!

Good luck in your endeavor to become an "ex-analog" smoker! I bet it won't be as hard as you think!

That is awesome. My wife and I had the same experience and we have been smoke free since Labor day. Although there are times when we smoke (out at bars with dead batteries) we feel horrible in the morning. My mother-in-law lives with us and we used to smoke outside together. My wife still goes with her but I want her to stop because if my mother-in-law sees us inside vaping all warm and cozy and she if left outside in the cold alone, she may be more likely to quit.

Its difficult because she is so stubborn and set in her ways she doesn't to quit but her younger sister just got diagnosed with cancer. I don't remember what type but the doctors did say it was more than likely due to her 30+ years of smoking. I think that may be enough for us to get my mother-in-law into the e cig craze.

I think you've gotta be cruel to be kind, so maybe the idea of you both vaping inside and your mother-in-law smoking out in the cold is a good incentive for her to quit!!!!!!!!!
