I have been smoking off and on since I was 14 or 15. I am 36 now and have went several years smoke free throughout that time. Something would come up in my life and I never had a problem grabbing a pack of smokes and when they were gone that was it for another few years.

As I have gotten older I just decided I really just liked smoking so I have been a half a pack a day smoker for a few years now. I started getting bad sinus infections and I knew the smoking wasn't helping. I found a place near by that had a nice Riva (ego) starter kit for a great price and I bought it.

I followed some online walk through's on getting started with the E cig and I seemed to have figured it out. I have tried the fillable cartomizers and the fillable carts that came with the kit. I seem to like the taste of the cart better than the cartomizer, seems to strong for me.

I know my habit was mainly mental and not physical so I am sure I can make it work.

I bought a few sampler size bottler of e liquid but I am not happy with any of them. They all seem to taste like a hint of pancake syrup if that makes any sense. I wish I had a better Idea on what kind of E juices that wont have that nasty taste.

I think it would make quitting smoking pretty easy for me.

Oh Well, Glad to be part of the forum.

Thanks for having me.

Congratulations and Welcome :)

For me, a lot of budget juices had a taste I didn't like a whole lot. It's hit and miss. I'm really happy with TastyVapor for my juices, but since you're starting out and they don't do samplers you might consider buying small quantities up through the classifieds. Plenty of other great vendors though, FreedomSmokeUSA is a name that I see very often these days in recommendations.

Good luck and happy vaping! :)

Congrats on your new e-cig. There are as many opinions about juice as there are juice suppliers and flavors. I had some juice problems too when I first started vaping.

Please consider ordering small bottles or sample size bottles of juices. That way you won't end up with a shelf full of juices you don't really care for.

Many of the mixed-to-order juices are better if you allow them to sit and steep for a week or so. You might want to think about this before you give a hand-mixed-to-order juice the boot.

There is a Pay It Forward section on this forum where you can sometimes pick up juices.
There is also a buy/sell/swap type of section here where I have seen juice assortments offered.

You might need to explore your PG / VG ratio.

You might need to experiment with your nicotine level in your juice.

All of the things I just mentioned are covered in various posts here on this forum. This forum is huge and it contains books full of information for people like you and me. Here is the library: The ECF Library Bring a big cup of coffee when you hit the library. You can be there reading for quite awhile.

Hope some of my words have helped a little. Welcome to the forum~ It is nice to have you here.
