I bought this unfortunate ego battery from Liberty Flights on October 15. It served me well until I fell in love with the titanium Riva kit (from LF as well). After receiving my Riva, the eGo was relegated to performing LR atty duty. Day in and day out I would use standard atties on my Riva while my eGo kit was the workhorse. I had no appreciation and no love for the eGo. The Riva button was much easier on my fingers and it was so much prettier; like solid gold.
One day at the beginning of winter I lost it, I did a cursory search for it in my car, imagining that it had rolled under the seat or had become wedged in the seat somehow. I didn't do a thorough search; it was just too darn cold to go through the car for a battery when I had plenty of back up. So I broke out the black Riva kit which I wasn't as fond of and began using those as workhorses for the LR atties. I was actually more disturbed that I had lost my metal drip tip.
Well, we just had our first thaw (which, by the way, lasted one day--the ground is now covered with about 3 inches of the white icky stuff) and as I was carrying the groceries in I looked down and low and behold there it was!
My first thought was "Oh, my metal drip tip!" Sad, but true.
So I picked it up and pressed the button...
After at least 2 months buried under snow and being walked on continuously (it was right in front of the step) this beast still worked, not only the battery, but the atty was still firing. The thing worked for two hours after I found it lying outside!
It changed my outlook quite a bit; I still love my riva, but I have so much respect for the eGo.
