So, as I've said before, I got my first order from SI last week. Other than continuing to not be a fan of the Volt chocolate flavor, the X2s, carts, and other flavors have either been good or great. However, I did realize that I probably should have gotten a manual or two instead of all autos and probably want something VV to kick up the warmth and flavor a little....

So, today was payday. And what's the first thing I do?

I place 2 orders... The first to SI for 3 Spinners (2 900 & 1 650mah), a couple chargers, some CE3s, blank cartos, ect. The second was to FSUSA for a bunch of juices.

I moved to SI from spending a fortune on pre filleds from another company to SAVE some money. I'm only on my 2nd week with SI/Volt and I'm already off to the races.

I wonder what nonsense ill be buying next!?!? :vapor:

Maybe you should have put a couple of T3's in that cart too. The T3's make a great companion to SI's Volt spinner... also a couple of replacement heads for those T3's. I believe SI will soon have a great Valentine's day sale too, so save up!

Already got 'em. That's part of why I'm excited for the spinner. The vape was too cool and airy with the X2 autos.

You can always plug a couple of the holes on the T3. Use glue on the outside. That will take the airy feeling away.

I started off much the same way. I had bought from another company, then I found ECF and SI. I dropped a lot of money on X2's and SI stuff.

In the long run, it's all worth it! Have fun with your new stuff when vape mail arrives!

I cannot tell you (or my wife) how many hundreds of dollars I have spent on everything that I have. Most of the money has been spent on juices but I have bought at least one of everything on SI's site except the shirts, decoration stuff and a pass-thru.

Still not sure I get the spinner thing and I think that auto/man is a personal preference. I only have one manual and I don't see much difference personally. Other than me taking a hit off the manual without pushing the farging button all the time.

I'm in the same boat. Every month I say to myself, I have more than enough stuff and do not need to order anything....

Then I read about the FDA so I stock up on another 500ml of DIY juice and a bunch of flavors.

Then SI announces the spinners, and I have an order for about $150 sitting in my cart waiting for the sale, and payday. Funny thing, I would spend up to $200 every month at the reservation for 4 cartons of stinkies without even blinking an eye.

However, bear in mind that I am still using the original 2 black manual X2 batteries I started with back in May. So I feel I got my money's worth from them, and you should also.

I like the manuals, and don't even think about pushing the button, it's natural. I like the ability to start the burn a second before putting it in my mouth, stopping it a second before I remove it to clear the tube, and the fact that if I need to dry burn something manuals are the way to go.

Good Luck!

Mark

I own the autos, the manuals, the 65's, the 78's, the 650's, 900's, 1300's, the T3's, the Nanos the CE3's, the Clearos, the cool zippered carrier, the PCC, the cartridges. There probably isn't one thing I don't own except the Tshirt:)

I am happily not smoking so that is the good news.

I'm not getting the spinner but that is only because I talked myself into a Provari. Otherwise I would buy that too!!!!

You'll probably find your collection stabilizes when you feel you have "enough."

Some of us have a much higher level of enoughness than others. :) For me, enough is 11 vaporizers and 2 years of DIY in the freezer. YMMV. :)

I am, however, tempted by the Volt Spinner version myself. I may just have to try that at some point...

Stocking up on DIY will probably be my next big investment. What's the deal with shelf life for nic base? I see you have it in the freezer. Is that the best way to extend the shelf life?

Yeah, we've done this to death in the DIY thread. The upshot is that the freezer seems to be the best way to preserve it; chemical reactions slow amazingly when things get that cold (and neither PG nor VG freeze solid in the freezer, they just gets a little thicker).

Shelf life is as yet unknown. In an amber glass container in the freezer with minimal air and not opened/closed repeatedly, about the best we can say is "at least two years." Three to five years is probably a more reasonable guess, and seven wouldn't be beyond the reasonable range.

I spent $250 on a Provari Mini, batteries, and charger all in one fell swoop a few months ago. (Still use my X2's when I'm out and about.) Got at least $150 worth of juice in my vaping cabinet (and more on the way this week), along with T3's, mini T3's, and various carto's & clearo's.

In a couple of months I'm going to drop a chunk of change on a large juice order. I've got the bats and the delivery system, so now it's all about finding the best juices.

And of course I'm always bouncing around ECF on the lookout for the "next big thing" that will replace the T3...

I see no way they can ban flavoring concentrates. PG / VG is readily available and probably won't be touched. So, basically it's the nic that's in danger. I have almost 900ml now of premade juice and hope to buy another 500-1000ml soon.

Having said that, I am also prepared to wean my nic levels down to nothing if necessary but plan to continue vaping 0 nic in that instance.

Knowing the FDA and how they operate, I won't be surprised if they do something like ban or regulate pre-flavored nicotine juicesand maybe prefilled cartos. These people don't go out of their way to understand issues. They likely don't grasp that there's a whole community of DIY-ers.

If the FDA does in fact ban nic, I may be up .....s creek without a paddle. DYI isn't going to be solution for me. I can't make Kool-Aid effectively and I surely don't want a laboratory in my house with chemicals. It would be bad.

I may stock up with as much as I can afford and figure it out when I run out.

Still some time left but also over 1000 signatures needed.

Heh. I hear ya. I've always been into experimenting, so the idea is actually really appealing to me. The only reason I didn't get involved sooner was because I lacked the motivation to start. But with what may be looming, it gives me all the initiative to start. I'd like to at least stock up on several years of nic base by April.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Tommy, vaping seems to turn into something like a boat, and a boat is defined as a hole in the water into which one pours money :) When I started I thought I'd save money, but somehow my money spent on vaping always seems to be about $300 ahead of my money saved on smoking. On the other hand I will be reaching a point, soon I hope, where I'll have enough power devices, delivery systems, wire, wicks, nicotine, PG and VG in stock to carry things for five to ten years, depending on how far I manage to reduce the nicotine in my DIY mixes. I've found out that both T3s and CE3s are rebuildable, so even though I have a large supply of both, I can make them last significantly longer if need be.

I do keep the nicotine, PG and VG all in separate containers in the freezer so I can change the ratios at will. Hopefully, it'll last long enough for me no matter what the FDA does. Although I may end up having to mix for my daughter before long, she likes my version of RY4. If that happens, I'll have her buy the nicotine, PG and VG to add to the inventory I have so we'll both be well supplied.

I still use auto 78mm batteries quite a bit and have a small collection of X2-650s as well in auto. I have two variables at the moment, one is VV only and the other is VV/VW and is fast becoming my favorite, if for no other reason than the "universality" of the batteries it uses and how they last me for at least a full day of heavy use, as in almost 6ml of liquids. Still, a 78mm auto with a CE3 just can't be beat for convenience.
