Yes I love my kayfun, this thread has had a tremendous amount of great advice pretty much covers everything, from what gauge of wire do I use the size of the drill bit the number of wraps it takes, making a coil is not too difficult for me but when it comes to the wicking part I think most would agree that can make or break a build.I made several trips to Lowes and had to order a few things,at the end of the day kind of makes me feel better knowing I had something to do with what I'm using.Im still a tank lover just a different type Lol.

I just found this thread a couple days ago and started reading it from the beginning.

You went from 'I cant built anything' to 'I can build anything!!" in a couple months. Super freakin awesome!!!!!!!!

The learning curve is a major deal breaker when it comes to vaping. Wayyyyyy tooo many people have no motivation to learn anything new. The second they realize that 'cigalikes' are junk and they must learn for their experience to improve, they go back to cigarettes, because cigarettes are easy. Likewise, relying on 'dude at the vape shop' for EVERYTHING leaves people vulnerable to catastrophic equipment malfunctions when not at the vape shop (hello stress, hello marlboro). The vape shop serves its role, but vapers need to develop their own skills to be successful.

I applaud your eagerness to learn, and im impressed by your progress. Keep up the good work and learn something new every day. Your doing great.

Well, 5 wraps with 28 puts me at .8-.9...your legs will be a bit shorter so it would put you a little lower, so maybe 4-5 wraps might get you in your range, but you should have plenty of room on your magma to use the 26 gf gauge. I'm using 24 gauge on my dripper, dual coil at 8 wraps put me at .3, so each coil is .6...so maybe 7 or 8 wraps of your 26 gauge will put you right where you want
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

I tried 26gauge K.3/32 DB about 6 wraps nowhere near my intended target,I went ahead and put it on T8@20 watts and yikes to hot for me..I don't think I got the coil up far enough over the hole, back to the kayfun or taifun gt for now.

You might be using a larger diameter then me, which would increase the ohms amount. What did your 6 wraps ohm at?
