I too have a Kangar Subtank and I'm running the pre-fitted 0.5ohm coil on my T8 and have to say I'm well impressed! I take a few vapes of this and it's like thick fog in my room and I'm only running it at 20 watts. It's a shame my Provari P3 won't allow atty's with less than 0.7ohm resistance as that is my preferred 'tool' of choice but I'll get to test it when I switch to the included 1.2ohm coil at some point. I'll also play with the rebuildable aspect of it at some point too but in its standard form with a standard pre-installed 0.5ohm coil it's just superb. That's not to mention the huge 6ml tank capacity. The Nautilus was my tank of choice previously but this one definitely pours vapour out like a trooper. :)

The one criticism I do have is that the drip-tip supplied on mine is just ever so slightly too loose, ie. there's little resistance when you try to pull it out. This is an issue because I get a small leak if I lay the tank down from where the drip-tip meets the tank. Sadly, the drip-tip is just very very slightly smaller than your average 510 (though my Kanger Aerotank tips fit it just fine). Maybe I was just unlucky but it's no biggie for me as I leave the mod and tank stood upright anyway but it would be nice to know that I'd not come down to leaked juice over my desk if it somehow got knocked over by my cats or something. :(

The leaking is most likely due to condensation that collects under the drip tip. Also, my tip isn't loose at all, perhaps you could find a thicker rubber seal to put on it. As far as the 1.2 ohm coil...... It will still kick out the clouds, but the vape will be cooler then with the .5.

I just rebuilt one of my occ heads with triple twisted wire 32 gauge kanthal. It wings up being close to the diameter of the stock wire but twisted wire gives more surface area for your coil.

Just what I wanted to hear, thanks. :) Got about another 4Ml of juice to burn off before I go experimenting further (doh, don't fill up to the full 6Ml on 1st use, lesson learned). Loving the clouds though. I'll try their pre-built dual coil RTA once I've exhausted the juice with some OC and see how that goes before I either put the supplied 1.2ohm in or indeed make my own coils (I've got some .30 gauge kanthal I believe). :)

EDIT: Correction, 28AWG. Had to check Ebay to find what sized I had ordered, still new to the whole rebuilding thing but have been experimenting. :)

28 gauge will work fine. One thing to note, the rba head doesn't have as much airflow as the occ coils, but the flavor is rocking from it. I've already started to rebuild the occ heads :p
They are perhaps easier to build then even the rba head. There is a tutorial on occ coil building on YouTube. I've mostly been using 28 gauge for that.... Though I think the stock coils (at least for the .5 ones) must be using 26 gauge, cause I've been wrapping them at the same diameter, and my 4 wrap ends up being 1.1 ohm, and their .5 ohm is 4 wraps. I tried 24 gauge but that was just to big. I'll have to get some 26 gauge and try it out. Though the occ could are the first stock coils I've been happy with, I like to build my own.... Cheaper that way.
Right now I'm using my own build of 3 strands of 32 gauge twisted and 5 wraps, comes out at 1.2 ohm, but flavor is better then the stock 1.2
I might try twisting 4 stands and see what that does, I'd like to get down to .7-.8 at 4 or 5 wraps to get some of the warmth that the stock .5 had

Yea,rub it in lol..I might just go ahead and purchased one online, that vape shop has told me before something will be in up being about 3 weeks later I'm not going to wait that long everything I see about the sub tank is around $45 i guess that's about right price wise and from everything I have read it is a beast. Are you using it on your DNA 40 the most?

I haven't used any other tank since I got it....... Be prepared to lower your Nic level..... As if using a dripper, cause it feels s bit like that.
I was vaping 12-18 mg in my kayfun and aerotanks....... Now in this one I'm using 3-6 mg. My first try I loaded it up with a 12mg juice, and almost coughed a lung up :p

So I was playing around with my dark horse, and built an amazing flavor producing build. It's a dual Clapton at .3 ohms, and it rocks. A nice warm dense vape, full of flavor even with airflow wide open
