atty still working great, way easier to suck
thru too. if you guys try it, and find a way to do it better let me know
I've been
vaping since last August using 510's. By November my original batt's were working fine but atty's were getting feeble. I went straight to soaking them in isopropyl alcohol for couple hours. ( I use 91% but 70% may work.) Then I grap 'em by the
threaded end with my needle-nose pliers, holding the atty horizontal and hit it with my torchie type lighter, taking care to watch because when I get close the fire comes right back out.( vertical may work for those using regular lighters but flame is not as hot.) I hit for 2-3 secs 3-4 times (depending how weak I think it was). Then I put a batt on it and check to see that most of the alcohol is gone. There will still be some down by the threads probably so i dry burn in longer runs then the flame job till it is gone. You will get a vapor from the alcohol. I just blow it away as it accumulate so I can see the coil. I don't let the coil go red for more than 4 secs tops.
We're coming up on April and although my batts are beginning to fail (funny, one of my original batts is still among the best) I have not lost an atty! Maybe just luck, but I'm thinking not from hearing from your reports.
Give it a try on one you are ready to pitch. You might save it.
As I said, I only have 510 atty's and of course YMMV. Hope it sves atty lives.
