I also don't get TH from the 510 atty, although many people do.
1. Nicotine level: All of the remaining factors being equal, the higher the nicotine level, the greater the
throat hit. However, I'm one of those people who think we should use the
lowest level nicotine that can sustain us, so I'd explore the other factors first.
2. Battery voltage: The higher the voltage, the greater the throat hit. All unmodified e-cigs use 3.7V
batteries. The 5V and 6V mods hit much harder. But even among the "3.7V" batts, there is voltage variation. That 3.7V is more of an average. A freshly charged "3.7V" battery delivers closer to 4.2V then gradually drops down to around 3.2V before demanding recharge. Higher mAh batteries (e.g., a 280 mAh penstyle or KR808D-1 vs. the 510's 150 mAh) hold that higher voltage longer. The 650 mAh of new eGO/Tornado and the 750 to 3000 mAh of the mods
really do that.
3. Atomizer: I think the Joye510 atty releases more of its goodness into vapor than TH. [That is not a technical analysis.] The Kr8 does the opposite. The penstyle is
my golden mean. Just within the penstyle models, I think the M201 and Joye302 hit harder than the DSE801 or BE112.
4. PG vs. VG: PG tends to deliver greater TH; VG greater vapor.
5. Each
individual's physiology and subjective impressions: Many, if not most, people do get TH from the 510 atty. [Perhaps because they've never used the KR808D-1 or penstyle (the two that I used for several months before trying the 510).]
You may wind up doing what I do: use the 510 for my 0mg "pacifier" vaping (I don't
want TH and why consume nicotine with an atty that doesn't reward me for it) and use my penstyle (or your 902) for your nicotine TH vaping.
