Probably got it open 5 minutes after posting. ;)

I do the needle nose pliers all the time as well. I didn't look to see how the top cap was on the Gear RTA, so a screwdriver was the first thing that came to mind. ;)

Had a customer today with a Cleito 120 that sat for a year half full of juice... Screwdriver in the air slot got it apart for a quick flush. :D

I got used to the Allen key in the air slot from my Super tanks when I was using them. Impossible to unscrew without it. The pliers have become my mainstay so long as the top fill works that way. If it doesn't, another trick is to use a usb cord. Wrap the cord tight around the stuck part and turn. Provides nice grip and you can get decent torque without marring the finish. And it's always easier to find one of those lying around than those rubber bottle opener grippy things that they are always in the back of the last kitchen drawer you check.

hi guys...
First of all, sorry for posting 3 threads. It's legit my bad and I won't do the same thing again.

So, I think a lot of people actually don't have this problem. I stuck a plier on my filling port and just give it a good spin and the building deck automatically spins aswell.

And about the airflow control, the airflow control on Gear RTA is actually removeable and yea if you spin the bottom part of the RTA too much, it will actually came out.

Anyway, thanks for all the advices&Tips. A couple of it actually helps me out when my other RTAs are stuck.

I have become a sometime fan of GENTLY using needle nosed pliers in the top somehow (if they fit or whatever, but basically the top part of the chimney and then GENTLY twisting.

I will also use whatever form of lever that well, will fit in the airflow, yes. Sometimes a little blue screwdriver. Etc.
