I've seen apple Pie CAP recommended @ 15%. FW is usually best @15% and no clue on butter stuffs...
Perhaps up the Apple Pie a bit, and see if you need the butter...

I haven't used those particular recipes, just going off what others have said here.

Have you steeped it?

I normally use FW flavorings with some FA as well. With multiple flavor recipes you need to steep for about a week with shaking every day then taste test. If its still not right then adjust.

Oh yeah. It's a waiting game! It's intolerable at times but much needed. Some single fruit flavors are good freshly made, but multiple flavor recipes really need a week at least.

Before jumping in and trying multi-flavor recipes, try each flavor on its own first. Also, from the recipe you posted, why would you add butter to apple pie + vanilla ice cream. That's just weird.

Also, you have to give your mixes time to age/steep.

I also say make a batch without any flavor and see what that tastes like if it's funky there's your problem

If your Nicotine Base and PG and VG are All Relatively Tasteless. And if you have let your Mixes Sit for a Couple of days to "Steep". You might try 2 Things.

1) User Less Flavoring.

2) Add a Sweetener.
