Thanks, crxess! I am struggling just to hold onto my 2 analogs/day quota. Today, though, I am shooting for 1. I think I'll make it. Tomorrow is another day. :(

Dreamrush, welcome and don't give up. After a 45 year struggle with the analogs I stopped all at once. Been off since 8-6-12 and loving the feeling. A cough is very common when you switch. Ever yell so loud your throat got scratchy? Well, your lungs may be at that point, yelling WE'RE FREE!!!. Next thing you know you are coughing. Mine started after about a week and lasted on/off for maybe 2 weeks.

My advice would be to stop the analogs 100% to let your lungs start to fully heal. Check with a Doctor if symptoms persist and enjoy using the great information available from the experts here. I have and will never Look back.

What a great idea about cutting the PG with 100% unflavored VG! Now I can experiment to see if I'm PG intolerant and won't waste my current stash of juice. Thanks, Hulamoon!

Hmmm. For the juices you have purchased, maybe see if the vendor offers 100% VG version with 12-24 mg nicotine and then cut the current juice by half? Or ask them if they sell unflavored 100% VG with that amount of nicotine so you can cut the PG levels. I'm pretty sure most vendors on this forum will figure out a workable solution for you if you just drop them an e.
And congratulations on cutting down so well! Way to go!!!

I also had asthma when I was really young. These shortness of breaths and coughs I've been getting feel frighteningly similar to the beginnings of asthma attacks. I can still get through 20 minutes of intense aerobics though (barely!), so I'm really hoping that these coughs do not signify a return of asthma.

I have started using SI's ce3 a few days ago. Last night, for the 1st time in weeks, I did not have a coughing episode and had a full night of rest! I might very well be developing a reaction to the polyfills in the cartos. We shall see. And I do have the Volt X2. This was what tipped the scale for me in my journey from smoking to vaping. I think I'm going to invest in their new clearo next. :)

I have asthma and found that high PG irritated my throat and caused coughing. High VG will cause some throat congestion. I ended up using 50/50 or 60 VG / 40 PG mixes and that solved most of my issues. Once I stopped the few cigs a day, the coughing became more productive and stopped once I'd gotten the gunk out. If you have the smokeless image 65 or 78mm little batteries try the Nano or Ce-3 they sell instead of the cartos. Filler bothers me for some reason where the others do not. If you're using the Volt X2 big batteries, try a clearo, nano, or ce-3 on there as well.

Thanks, PetrolHead! I will be buying some unflavored 100% VG, as Hulamoon suggested earlier, to cut my current juice. I will test a bottle with 8-12mg nic level and 1 at 0 nic level and see what happens. I did increase my nicotine level in my last purchase of juice. I find that I've been vaping much more than I smoked and thought that a higher nic level might slow me down. It did, but not by much. I'll go back to the lower nic level. Thanks for the suggestion!

Try VG with a low Nicotine level.
