I can't taste my all day vape anymore.

Well, crap. Here we go again. The hunt is on I guess. I DIY a lot and just haven't hit on anything besides my cheap coffee mocha brew. Changing flavors will piss off Mrs. Kodiak as well. She calls me her "Walking Scentsy". (Sure beats those other names).

Just thought I'd let you guys know since I don't do that Twitter thing. Next week I get a colonoscopy. I'll post pics.

I can't say for sure as it might change with time but for the last year and a few months I haven't been able to taste any watermelon juice and I've tried a bunch of them because I loved it. I vaped it exclusively for only around a month and haven't been able to taste it since. Then I went to another ADV I vaped exclusively and I can no longer taste that either. Now I know to rotation three or four totally different tastes each day and haven't lost my ability to taste any of them.

Edit: Actually I need to modify what I said. The second one, the ADV after watermelon, I can still taste but it tastes just awful to me. I've lost my ability to taste at least one and possibly more things in it (its a complex juice) and I really don't like what's left that I can taste. I think people talk about how our taste changes so we don't like what we used to and I think that's what's happened to them.

Oh that sucks. I am so afraid of that happening again. I'm trying to vape fruit, bakery, tobacco on rotation through the day with some anise/absinthe and candy cinnamon thrown in as well. I don't think I'll ever have an ADV. Though I have one flavor I have to fight myself to take a break from.

Beware of da 'Dead Moose' syndrome! Twix da dreaded TBRC (t-buds replacement cycle) and t-bud boredom, dere's only two three four solutions...

- Mix up sumpin' dat will 'cleanse'/pleasantly surprise your palate
- Wait a couple o' days for t-bud recovery
- Go back to smokin' and further destroy dose t-buds
- Or go...

Sounds more like a touch of vapers tongue to me. I know you taste other flavors, but I have experienced this scenario too and it has resolved for me after not =vaping the troublemaker for a day. I find vaping two or three flavors alternately stops that form happening.

OTOH, I have certainly stopped liking a flavor after thinking it was 'the one'.

Looking forward to the colonoscopy pics. I'll post mine too and we can compare notes

I had the same problem .. I now have 3 different fruity flavors and a ry4d in my daily rotation.. Seems to b doing the trick..the ry4d seems to help bring the fruity flavors back to life for me

I ad the same thing, I could taste everything except a couple flavors. Mostly fruits I couldn't taste. Took about a week to clear up. And I learned a good lesson on keeping my buds active.

1. Sour candies (sugar free ice breaker sours work well) a few times a day between vape sessions. Stimulates saliva production, which helps the buds stay active.

2. Switching between flavor groups, Tobacco, Bakery, Anise for me, everything except the ones that weren't tastable (which was fruit)

3. Time...time time time.

You guys are so on the money. I've been rotating a few in the evening and it seems to help. I finally started vaping some crap from ECBlends... a free sample. It's one of those fruity, candy "girly" flavors. (Well, that's what I call em'). I like it! Just ordered 30ml.

What has happened to my manly buds? Soon I will have Hello Kitty stickers on my mod with some little fuzzy tassels hanging from it.

I had a similar thing happen, lasted about a week. I didn't find much that helped. Changing up flavors a couple times a day since then, and it hasn't returned.

Next week I get a colonoscopy. I'll post pics.

Maybe the doc can find your problem while he's playing peek-a-boo with your polyps. If you don't mind, I'll skip the pics and wait for the movie...but I'll bet you are a fetching sight in a hospital gown !

Vape a strong menthol for a while. Eat some citrus. Your buds will wake right up.

I see that you say you do some DIY. If so then make yourself some flavorless juice to use for a day. Just PG,VG,Nic. It's actually pretty satisfying. I make up a 24mg flavorless for when I'm out at the bar. I usually do 12mg but that keeps the cigarette smoke from tempting me.
