Not clean them.

Drying is the hard part.

I never clean a cartomizer. I test my juices first on a manual battery & atty w/ drip tip. Only juices I love get cartos and I keep them damp with the same or similar juice until they are degraded. Then I put them in a bag in case I am ever desperate enough to try cleaning them. I can get a week or more use out of a Boge, typically 10+ days. When I start a new one I want it to just work and be great, not a crapshoot.

I just cleaned a bunch of Boge2.0s and a couple of EMDCCs as per the instructions on psbusardos(sp?) video...I boiled 'em, rinsed them, boiled them again, rinsed them and then boiled and rinsed a third time...blew out the excess water and let 'em sit for a day or so...they came out clean and white, loaded up as normal, drew as normal and tasted just fine...doano watcha did to make 'em nasty(other than only one boiling) unless you have really bad water where you live........

I have boge 2.0s. Boiled em for about 5 minutes. Blew out every drop of water and let them sit out for a couple days. The filling was hard. I used a syringe and filled them. Topped it off multiple times. Let it sit fir 15 min. Taste horrible and harsh. What can I do different?

Boil them 5 times minimum in distilled water. Each time will get a little more out of them. There are also very few places that tap water will not leave a very bad taste in the carto.

I bargain-hunt in the Deals and Steals thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/85781-deals-steals.html and buy good cartos like Boges and some SmokTechs when they're on sale. When the taste gets funky I toss it.

I tried the cleaning thing and it worked. I used water from a reverse-osmosis purifier. Boil, drain, boil, drain, repeat and repeat then line them up to dry. Ugh. It wasn't worth it for me.

someone suggested cleaning atomizers with vinegar and baking soda. would that work for cartos? maybe that bubbling action would get the .... out?

I wouldn't use vinegar or it may leave a nasty aftertaste.

After 2 good boils, I sling mine as dry as I can get them, then put them in my jewelry cleaner with water and 2 shots of vodka for 3 cycles, drain off , sling again to remove water...load them into a food dehydrator with a top air circulation fan and turn on high overnight. They are ready to use in about 12 hours.

I use a syringe with a flexible tube and 91% isopropyl alcohol to clean my Boges and Echo-e's, then I let them dry for a week. Every Saturday morning I'll have a handful of cartos to clean. The task takes maybe 10-15 minutes total. I have yet to pitch a carto, and some have been cleaned as many as eight times.

The key may be to not let them get funky, but rather to clean them before they get to that state. I vape mostly clear e-liquids, and I chuck the cartos in the to-be-washed bucket after no more than a week, even if they are fine in terms of vapor production, draw ease and taste.
