BenK Vincent,, very good question... Ive often wondered about that. I think the test when insurance companies do test,, is for nicotine.. Idk,, maybe that needs to change now for us because the health risks are gone.. Im going to look into this. But no, we dont smoke tobacco, we are non smokers. We vape. Big difference.. :)

Im not a smoker anymore I dont touch tobacco to my lungs anymore. I vape a nicotine vapor. Only a fine vapor comes out of my lungs now, no more coughing up a lung, no more thousands of chemicals, no more smelling like a chimney.

Am I a reformed smoker? yes as of 22 days ago. After 40 years.

I need something to keep my caffeine addiction company.

I just started vaping last night. I've been telling everyone I'm switching from analogs to vaping (I've picked up some of the jargon on the way). They all tell me "Congratz on quitting!". I don't feel like I'm quitting smoking since I'm still inhaling nicotine, just in a different form. I don't know if I would even go as far as saying I'm a non-smoker. Would you? Why?

I had a heart attack in November. On my last visit to the cardiologist, he asked if I'd quit smoking. My reaction sounded like yours... I told him I wasn't smoking cigarettes, but that I still was getting nicotine via my e-cigarettes.

He congratulated me and told me how proud he was of me. Yes, I've quit smoking.

It's not the nicotine that kills you. All that does is keep you coming back.
