It's a shame I have picked up lots of info in the middle of an unrelated thread.

By the time 1000 post threads get going, say 20 posts, people have veered so far off course you end up reading about rabbit breeding and Japanese architecture.
When I was searching for a good caramel flavor someone posted the RY4 thread. I wanted a simple caramel flavor not War And Peace. But I don't have a cutoff point either.
I read peoples posts that I've come to trust because they have always steered me in the right direction.

Joke's over, here's my thoughts about the actual thread title:
I actually don't read serious threads over 2-3 pages for different reasons:
1- If I'm wanting to help, I know the question has already been answered. I might give a quick peek to see if there is some solution I might like better than mine.
2- I will read a few posts if I'm curious about the solution(s) to the original question.
3- I won't read anything or just the OP if the subject can be(therefore will become) inflammatory.
4- I will read longer threads only if I know they will turn funny. Don't make me waste my time reading this thread... Be funny!
As a side note, it is interesting to see that someone mentioned, in this very thread, that any thread past X numbers of posts will turn into completely deviant posts and to see he (she) was so right in the very same thread. I bet this will turn into a zombie thread that will go on with completely irrelevant posts forever, though it could end up being transferred to the lounge at some point.
Now, stop reading and just be funny, else I'll stop reading this...
