should of got a provari. only a provari can survive that type of punishment. either that or get a lanyard. ive never had problems dropping any of my devices so I wouldnt need a lanyard. I find it annoying to have a massive e cig hanging around my neck

Provari's are dependable and durable. But they aren't the "only" durable APV. Have you seen the "Titanide"? Made of titanium with 24 karat gold threads and end cap. With an abalone hydraulic tension fire button.

Theres a Vapercon 2012 video floating around the interwebs with PBusardo interviewing Electronicstix, a company that will be selling them. They show the device and that fire button being pushed at 6 minutes into the video. I think its on Vapercon 2012 Part 2 (6 min mark if I remember correctly)

After you break your Chinese manufactured battery tube, you might want to consider a warrantied, sturdier model with customer service that can fix anything you do it even it if it is out of warranty, made here in the USA. I won't mention any names, but I am sure you know the one I am speaking about. That way you will only have to buy it ONCE in your lifetime rather than one every year or so.

ETA: or in your case, every month or so

LMAO, oh no Brent, that's terrible. From 1 clumsy 40 yo to another, you do deserve a nice Mod, you just need to get the right one for your style of abuse :) Do yourself a favor and go for a well built mechanical mod. I chose the Reo Grand at 6 volts. I've droped it in the ocean, on concrete, marble tile. It goes flying off my lap when i get off the couch or out of the truck on a daily basis. You can't kill it. I've lost numerous drip tips but the good ole girl is still ticking after a year. With a Reo you won't have to kill anymore tanks either....
Good luck!

thats true but that would be a collectors item for me. I cant imagine if I damaged or end up losing such an expensive mod. and yes those are really nice. thinking of getting the ones with the golden end caps with an 18650

Here is why. I’ve been vaping for 2 months now and I have been smoke free for exactly one month today. Let me tell you my story if you have a minute. For the first couple of weeks I used ego’s with the ego tanks while still smoking a few analogs a day. After discovering ECF I quickly transitioned to the ego twist with vivi nova tanks which made me uber happy with vaping, enough so to stop the analogs completely. After two weeks of being a non-smoker, I went to my local vape shop to reward myself with some yummy juices. But while there, on a whim I bought a ZMAX. I took my new prize home, charged the batteries and screwed on my vivi nova. I was blowing massive clouds. I was in vape heaven and couldn’t be happier.

About a week later my luck turned, but not in the good direction. I had the ZMAX on the kitchen counter and I accidently hit it with something and the darn thing tipped over and broke my beloved mini vivi. But no biggie, its only 10 bucks and I have more. Couple days later, I forgot I had it sitting in my lap, so when I hopped out of the truck at the Mexican food place it went flying to the concrete. Another mini vivi bites the dust. Again, no worries, I’m a trooper, and there’s more where that came from.

So a week goes by and I get up off the couch and when I did, somehow the ZMAX managed to fall out of my shorts pocket and land just right on the edge of the coffee table and kill my splitfire atty. This time though, the ZMAX actually took some damage. It badly scratched the display and pushed in the center pin in enough so that only one of my tanks would work. After working up some courage I pried up the center pin and got it working again. That was last week.

This past weekend I was at a Halloween party, happily carving pumpkins. I had the ZMAX in my back pocket. Somehow it found its way back to the familiar concrete. This time the vivi survived but the whole end where the 510 connection is popped off the ZMAX. I got to see ZMAX guts! I took a deep breath and assessed the damage. There was just a little broken metal on the inside lip of the cap piece, but everything else seemed to still be intact. I was able to fit it back together. This time the window over the display actually broke, is no longer smooth and a piece of plastic now floats around behind the window. The button is loose, and if I don’t press it hard enough it goes in to the menus instead of firing.

It is still usable, and works, but I guess I really don’t deserve a nice APV. I’m a 40 year old irresponsible vaper with not enough money to support my destructive nature. I just wanted to share my story, my name is Brent and I practically destroyed a ZMAX in 2 weeks. I think I’m gonna put a couple wraps of duct tape on it, just for grins.

I will not give up on vaping, and will probably go broke trying!

You need one of these: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...lvs-two-year-durability-test.html#post7502992

I agree somewhat, but I would hate for the provari to be my "starter" apv and put it through that kind of abuse. I obviously need to form some better habits with my devices. I'm thinking that after 6 months or a year of no smoking, I may reward myself with the infamous provari!

Not yet, I'm in the Western NY area and it hasn't gotten here yet, but has been raining all day. According to the local news, it should arrive here tonight or tomorrow morning.
