I smoke a half pack of Kools every day. There $4.98 per pack! :?::unsure:

  • Would switching to E-cigs be cheaper?
  • Are there E-cigs that look, taste, feel, hit like a kool?
  • Same nicotine level?
  • It needs to be just like i'm smoking a kool, but better for my health, and cheaper.
  • are e-cigs right for me?
  • And where should i go to get a Kool like e-cig kit?
Thanks!!

In short ABSOLUTELY e-cigs will work for you. I just converted from 15 newports a day to zero in 2 days with my Riva e-cig. I think I spent a total of 100 hours combing this forum and finally pulled the trigger and placed an order on Sunday and was vaping by Thursday. I'm not sure exactly which one will look and feel like your kool because based on my research I went with one that didn't exactly look like a cigarette but would give me the best newbie experience. Also I have found that even though I ordered Nuport e-liquid I quickly moved over to other sweet flavors and enjoy vaping that much more. Good luck on your journey and sorry I couldn't give you exactly what you were looking for with look and feel but I really think you will be pleasantly surprised if you go the route of e-cigs.

If you can avoid buying too many gewgaws to go with your e-cig, then it looks to be somewhat cheaper and a heck of a lot more tasty.

I've found the menthol juice from Ismokevapor to be quite similar to a Kool. The nicotine level you would need, well, I've no idea. It seems highly individual. I smoked a little less than a pak, but seem to need the 24mg juice to keep me from chain vaping. Others report the 18mg to be too strong even tho they smoked more than I did. Trial and error, friend.

Sadly, there is no "Kool kit" as such. You would want to look at what people say about various models of e-cigs (on that section of the forum) and judge what will suit you best. I didn't care too much about appearance, but wanted a reliable long battery life. It led me to an eGo variant called a RiVa. Works for me, and what more could I ask?

You may be surprised to find how quickly you can lose a taste for tobacco. Pleasantly surprised.

The third thing you should know is that you will probably change your mind.
There is a very good chance you will stop caring how much it looks like a cigarette.
There is a very good chance you will stop caring if it tastes like your old brand of cigarette.
And of course, there is every chance that you may not change your mind as well.

Yes, especially if you drip or refill rather than buying prefilled carts.

Yes, a white super mini will look like a Kool, the right juice will taste like one.

Sure, somewhere around 6-8 mg should do you.

Never EXACTLY like smoking, it's vaping so it is a bit different but, once you get it right for yourself, you will never go back to smoking.

From personal experience my advice to you would be. Get a Riva kit, Ego 900 mah kit, Hello016/but I do hate the cones) or a beginner mod. I think some people do not have the patience for smaller ecig batteries. You have to have a PCC and or be charging batteries all day n night. I know one of my friend's got flustered and did away with vaping, because he didn't have the will, time or whatever to keep up with charges. He then wanted back in, cause smoking was making him feel like crap again. He got an Omega mod now and he is a happy camper. Some friend's like me upped to larger ecigs. I have yet to take the mod jump, but will soon.

I also started out with tons of menthol flavors and now am addicted to sweet flavors. I do like menthol still for sure, but more into sweet flavors. Check out the forum and decide what is best for you. Also look up the ecig or mod you are interested in. Watch videos on how to care for them and use them. Try to get a feel for what will fit into your lifestyle and preferences. I used to recommend the 510 to all of my friend's as it got me off cigs for good! However had I had the choice of an Ego back then. yeah Buddy!!!!!!!! My choice of cigs were Newport and Camel menthol. My favorite menthols have been Diyflavorshacks shackslama (my fave shackslama!!!, and 555menthol. Watermelon menthol also is a fav. You will tinker around a lot in ejuice and volts, cartos, carts, ect. You have to find your sweet spots :) Good luck to you!!!!!!!!! I hope your a full vaper soon! I took a leap of faith, n 8 months smoke free now!

Would they be cheaper? That is a complicated question.
The simple answer is that they can be MUCH cheaper if you want them to be.

In order to do that, you have to find what works for you and be satisfied with it.
You have to NOT always try to chase the PERFECT vaping experience.

And you have to NOT treat this as a hobby.
A lot of us do, though, and love it.

There are no electronic cigarettes that look, taste, hit, and feel like a cigarette.
Electronic cigarettes are a little heavier, and eventually you'll want an even heavier one.

Also, no juice made for electronic cigarettes does, can, or ever will taste like burning material.
After a week or two you will think that is one of the best things about them.

And you have probably an 85% chance of not caring at all what it looks like.
We all start out thinking it has to be a cigarette, but it really doesn't.
You'll have to find that out on your own though.
:)

Nicotine level can only be determined by experimentation.
Everyone is different, and there are many factors involved.
However if I were you I would try 12mg and 16mg to start with.

As far as it needing to be so much like a Kool, everyone says that before they start.
I don't blame you at all for thinking that right now.

Are electronic cigarettes for you?

Electronic cigarettes are for EVERYBODY.
There are so many kinds, there is something that will work for everyone.
Seriously.

But since you have so many concerns about it being so exactly like smoking a cigarette, you probably should start with a disposible model to make sure you're going to like it, which you will.

Do you have a link to a few that you think would be a good place to start? The internet seems to be saturated with these things.
In my opinion there is no better place to start than here...
The ECF Library - E-Cigarette Forum

Read the first 6 threads about The Wonderful World of Vaping.
It is like having a 3 hour class all about the workings and possibilities of electronic cigarettes.

Wish I would have read this before I placed the order for:p the DSE. I'm waiting for it to arrive from inhaler, would have much rather spent the money on a second Riva. Honestly I was worried more about the look of the cigarette and only 3 days in I can honestly say I don't care. Love my Riva and I have gotten 2 compliments on it from 2 current smokers (they said it looked classy) and I quickly gave them a crash course on everything e-cig and pointed them to this forum!!!

I was a pack of newport a day smoker and have cut down to only about a pack every week now. I would recommended getting a pack of volcano disposables. That way you can see if ecigs are for you. Just as long as you don't make the mistake of buying the blu e-cig, i did and was a huge mistake. Switched to the volcano magma and love it!!

I'm always looking for converts too. Hopefully they come to understand what kind of favor you did them.
