Hello. I have been vaping for almost 2 months now, and am completely off the stinkies!! Yeah!! Celebration dance! Anyway, I may be weird, but I am not so much concerned with huge amounts of cloud. I have two shops that are about half an hour away from me. Every time I stop in there and ask questions, or look for new juice, they emphasize the equipment that I should buy with a comment about the big clouds I can make. I have been relatively happy with my "disposable" clearos, but did just buy a x.jet spider, since I was told that the flavors would be stronger, and I seem to have a problem with not tasting many flavors. I am fine with the ego batteries I have, and am only looking for a battery that lasts longer, and a clearomizer that gives me lots of flavors. The cloud does not matter to me. Actually, the less cloud, the better. May have something to do with the fact that my DH does not like some of the smells coming from me. He does prefer it over smoking, so he puts up with it. I expect that somebody will point out that I should just get juice high on PG, and the clouds will decrease. Hard to come by. The shops that I can get to dont sell that kind. And I got burned with online shopping, without tasting the flavors. They were either not what they were described as, or they were very weak.
Long rant, point being, am I alone in not needing the big clouds? I kind of like it when I can vape as unobtrusive as possible.

Welcome!

Folks need to understand that vaping is in the eye (or the mod) of the vaper. Congrats on being off cigs for two months. I'm just over three myself. Sorry you got burnt by online - I'm lucky - my B&M mixes to order, and they have a full tasting bar. I have ordered a few juices online (Mt Baker) and have only had a couple that weren't all that great.

So, if you prefer flavor to vapor, that is all you. If you want to chase clouds, that is all you. Make this your own (Vaping is now a hobby for me as well as a cigarette deterrent.)

Welcome to the club :)

P.S. - you might be going through "vapor's tongue" I went through that about a month or so ago. Drink lots of water. Try sniffing coffee beans (don't stick 'em up your nose, tho!) That hopefully can help you through this less flavorful time. I did start rebuilding my own coils (EVOD/mini PT2), and I have noticed richer flavor along the way. Rebuilding is NOT for everyone.... Again, make this experience your own

To hell with investing in more gear. I am going to be investing in a solar generator. I'll give you my addres...we can ride it out together. Bring the snacks ;)

you are on! The only bad thing is that I'm a real good basket. We will gain weight on all my cakes, pies and cookies. ... but I'll trade pie for solar power charging....

Oh my... and I am born German, so we can trade off. Mexican on even days, german food on odd days. Sounds like we got that whole apocalypse covered!

I guess I am in the same category as you. I too am not too fond of huge clouds. I am also satisfied with Ego batteries. So what I did, I upgraded to a much bigger "ego" battery. I bought the Innoking Cool Fire I, not an ego battery but similar to it, just bigger and you can change out batteries once low. It is not VV/VW which I like, I don't need all that complication. I just bought a Kayfun Lite+ V2 and will build it between 1.8-2.1. I just love to actually taste the flavor of the juices that I have. Vaping is like having an awesome quality hand rolled cigar, you must take it easy and enjoy it, if not, then the satisfaction is not there... Good luck on your venture.

Firstly, lets not discredit Vape shops for offering products that produce more Vape. Bigger clouds, in my experience, is accompanied by a warmer, more flavorful Vape.

Pg/vg ratio only slightly effects the size of clouds. The true cloud chasers like more vg because it is slightly thicker. The number 1 contributing factor to clouds is airflow. I can take the same hit from a kayfun with my lips sealed on the drip tip and do it again while allowing some air to flow in past my lips, and that alone produces noticeably more vapor.
I don't really care about sport vapeing anymore, I got into it because I like to push limits and I can't leave stuff alone. NOW, it's all about quality. Clouds are a side product of the builds I make to get a smooth, warm, delicious Vape.

And if your buying juice from a shop that doesn't know what's in it, go somewhere else. I work at a juice lab, and most of the vendors that carry our brands have actually been in the lab and are very educated.

Don't be hating on your BM for trying to sell stuff. A good salesman will suggest what he thinks is good. If the customer resists he should listen and adjust his recommendation to fit the customer. I might recommend an RDA for big clouds. If you say not interested in big clouds want more flavor. I might suggest an Rda they bring out great flavor. If you like cooler vapes an Rda might just do the trick. lol but seriously, chances are if you talk to the bm you may be able to get a lot of good information as long as you dont just tune out what they say the minute you hear cloud. Myself I keep 1 RBA dual coiled to about 1 ohm ( thats 2, 2 ohm coils)for my adv and an RDA sub ohm for those cloudy days.

Go with what satisfies and be happy. My vape quest lead me on a merry chase of total vape satisfaction, and now own multiple high amp regulated, and mechanical mods, and an rba for all my mods. Do have one fine collection, and am very satisfied. Clouds are not my focus, taste and vaping pleasure is. Though, must say, clouds have been reported in my vicinity.

Ample volume of vape inhaled into my lungs, is a must for me though. But that's the great thing about Vape World, we have something for everyone's needs and satisfaction. The mod chooses the Vaper! This has long been known by those that have studied Vape Lore.

Vape long and Prosper.!!!!

And again thanks to everybody that took the time to respond. I am not hating on my B&M, they are nice people. I was just trying to point out that they were mentioning with everything I asked about that it produces big clouds. Clouds are fine if you want them. I just prefer to not be noticed. I don't like the people that automatically think I am doing drugs, vaping "herbs", and call my vape shop a head shop. So, Nothing against it. I just like my cloud to little to nothing, and practice stealth vaping all the time.

It's a part of human nature that we see the rest of the world through our eyes. If I love .... then everybody else does and if they do not they just don't understand it so I will tell them.

There is a huge spectrum of vapers. Some are happy just to not be smoking and will stick with the simplest way to get the vape. Some look on it as a hobby and want the latest and "greatest". Some go all out for flavor and some want the biggest cloud they can get. Some have trouble paying for a clearo when theirs burns out and I have seen $2000 engraved mods that someone must be buying.

Vaping should be what you enjoy and can afford. Just cause someone else wants something should not bother you. A cloud chaser should not worry about a guy who's happy with an ego and the guy who is happy with the ego should let the cloud chaser go (and smile to himself when he thinks of all the money the cloud chaser spends on equipment, but the cloud chaser can smile when he thinks about the money the ego guy spends on ... )

The objective of getting big clouds is what propels others to try everything. It's probably human nature not to have any satisfaction. You hear things like sub-ohm, micro-coil, and some other terms that if you're a newbie you'll get sucked into the whole hype. Man, how much current do you need to heat up a tiny wick? Why do you even need resistances lower than 1.7 ohm? And what are those variable mods for? Assuming that you get the kind of heat you want in these sub-ohm coils, what about the damage it does to the wick? How fast do wicks absorb liquid? Things like that.

I agree with most of the things you said here.
