Howdy, neighbor! No problem here, either :D Of course, if you're referring to certain holier-than-thou non-smokers who will never understand how powerful an addiction to cigarettes can be, that's a whole different topic entirely!

No just other new vapers afraid of vaping too much. I just want off analogs. I don't care if I keep this with me non stop. Eventually I will wean off but not right at the beginning.

I think the initial worry is that they're vaping wayyyy more than they feel like they smoked. I've seen several posts by noobs worrying about it. I smoked a pack & a half a day so it didn't worry me. I still continue to vape constantly now! I don't see it as a problem either. Vape away!!!:vapor:

The same thing is happening to me! I just switched from analogs two days ago, and I find myself vaping a lot around the house (something I didn't do with analogs). I simply make myself go sit on my patio with some coffee or a good book. And I try to limit myself to 10-15 vapes per "normal" session. It seems to be working! I'm trying to ween off nicotine completely and the e cig has helped, but I definitely vape more!

I don't worry about it, and I chain vape like a demon. I did have to lower my mg down to 12 though, because the 18 was getting to be too much. I look at it this way - I smoked 2 or more packs a day. If I have to have my PV glued to my mouth all dang day long to make me a happy non-smoker, then I'm perfectly ok with that. Days when I'm really busy I vape less, days with lots of down time, computer time, etc, I am pretty much vaping nonstop. So? I can tell if I'm getting too much, because I FEEL IT. Then I'll voluntarily put it down for awhile, or as I said, vape a lower nic. I really don't think I am going to vape myself sick more than once, because my body won't let me, I start feeling awful. It's no different than being physically unable to smoke an entire carton of cigarettes in 2 hours. Yeah, you maybe could, but you wouldn't. Or if you did, you'd not do it twice!

Agree with it all! No big deal!

Hi Cpfeil. So yes I also agree with you. In the beginning I too treated this as if I where smoking, using only as little as I thought I needed. It was miserable for the first few months. I eventually figured out that this is more like wearing a patch........ I personally required a consistent stream of nicotine to be comfortable. Once I realized this little tidbit, and how well it worked when administered in that fashion, then everything began to just click. I did eventually lower my nicotine content when I felt the need to, but my quantity of liquid used throughout the day has remained fairly steady through the last year or two. I do see both sides of your statement, but I do so enjoy being on this side.
Welcome to the ECF. Happy Vaping.

Ah, OK! Well, I think it's natural for new vapers to vape a lot at first when they're trying to quit analogs. My PV was my constant companion for the first few weeks, but now I find I don't "need" it as much. And, I don't cry anymore when I realize I don't have cigs on me, so that's progress

With vaping a large amount trying to get off cigs? I vape a lot especially at night while on the computer and in the car. Place I normally wouldn't smoke. I don't understand people getting freaked about vaping when it is so much better than smoking? It's just my personal opinion but am I the only one?

If you get a headache, stop. Get a lower nic juice or vape less.
Otherwise, vape on!

And really, I don't think most people vape as much as they think they do. They just seem to be vaping a lot because they don't have to vape a full carto of juice each time they pick up their PV like they did with their cigs.
I used to spend 5-10 minutes every hour or so smoking a cigarette. Now I spend 5-10 seconds every couple of minutes having a vape. Drag for drag, I probably vape about as much as I smoked even though I have a PV in my hand probably around 90% of my waking moments as opposed to how I'd only occasionally have a cig in my hand.

In the first week I was vaping non stop I was using around 2ml of 24mg nic a day.
Probably because I was worried about how much vaping I was really doing.
I started getting really wild headaches and that "stoney" feeling of too much nic.
These days I'm vaping almost constantly at 18mg if it's a really good juice, but I'll set my PV down for hours without noticing if I'm busy.

I think your body does a pretty good job of letting you know when it's time to set the device down and take a break. :p

Nicotine increases blood pressure and heart rate in humans. Nicotine can also induce potentially atherogenic genes in human coronary artery endothelial cells. Microvascular injury can result through its action on nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs).

A study on rats showed that nicotine exposure abolishes the beneficial and protective effects of estrogen on the hippocampus, an estrogen-sensitive region of the brain involved in memory formation and retention.

It is a lot healthier than smoking, but nicotine still poses a lot of health risks, it's probably why you get them type of comments.

I have found the same reaction at times even though it has been over a year since my quitting cigs. I am happy to be a vaper instead of a smoker and think of it as a safer alternative.
