I don't understand people

I live in a very small town, where it am the only person who vapes. Now in the 2 neighboring towns we do have a couple vape shops, but it surprises me how often people think I'm smoking. It seems like everyone but the "kids", like older high school kids, have no idea what vaping is. It amazes me when people wrinkle their noses or cough a little, until I explain exactly what it is I'm doing. I try to be very curtious, and if I'm in public near people, I explain that I'm a vaper and if my vape bothers them to just let me know, but that the only effect they would get is the smell of whatever flavor it is I'm currently vaping. That even if I was to blow the vapor directly in their face, it wouldn't even burn their eyes, and I have yet to have one person say it bothers them. But the second I do not explain because I'm far enough away that they wouldn't even begin to smell it, people freak out! It's irritating to me. I had less problems and judgement passed on me as a smoker than I do as a vaper!

Funny how we change as we get older. If under 40 years old they are kids. LOL

Sadly enough too many are caught up in the hype created by big tobacco and FDA. They hear 2 oro 3% of a report and go flying off the handle with absolutely no knowledge.

Starbucks banned vaping as well as smoking even outside about a year ago. That's why they'll never get any of my money. Vape on!

Isn't it odd that they sell caffeine in liquid form at a premium but won't allow nicotine in vapor form inside the store? But, that's the thinking these days. Take it outside if we didn't sell it to you.

I try to be as courteous as possible while vaping. I tend not to vape in places where smoking is verboten, the only exception being work (I'm lucky my co-workers are awesome). I a general outdoorsy area (not a stadium or such), I tend to quietly vape away. I get some weird looks, and some questions which I'm more than happy to answer, but I've never had anyone freak out on me.

It's becoming more common place I think. My 15 year old said 'nice vape pen' when he saw that his mom and I had ordered some. He said a bunch of kids in his school have them, but tend to vape 0mg juices. The world is changing...

And as for anybody confusing vapor with smoke: ey, do those people not have any sense of smell?

No sense of smell, no sense of decorum, no sense of what's acceptable or not, and most of all, not a single braincell to show !!
