I don't want my PV to dictate what kind of juice I can use anymore

I have a Bloog setup, which I LOVE. However, I have discovered Vaperite, and really like the VR4 liquid, but it kills cartos WAY too fast. I'm thinking of getting a second setup, for the liquids that are harder to vape. If it's not easy to use on the go, fine. I have my Bloog for that. But I have to have something I can vape anything on, even if it's just at home. Other caveats: I don't want to go under 3.6v, and I'd like to keep this purchase under $100. Suggestions?

Vaperite is my main juice vendor and I have found I get great carto life when I use their juice in a tank.You could get yourself a M1A1 tank for $30 from Notcigs and a used VV PV on the classifieds with the other $70 and be set.Some of my cartos last a good week or more when used in the tank.

If you don't mind bumping ever so slightly over a 100 bucks with tax/shipping, take a look at the lavatube/lrider vv. Its comparable to the provari minus a few options (ohm tester) and a little less finesse in fabricating. I just got mine today and I've been blown away.

If you're willing to go to the $100 zone, check into the notcigs Infinity Pro. A very solid VV (I have their original Infinity, and their Buzz Pro), excellent customer service, I get 6 - 7 ml of vaping between battery swaps. Their standard coupon code is "ECF Buzzkill".

I use their VV with an M1A1 carto tank -- hassle free, leak free. Be warned, quite a few tanks have problems with some eli, like jkoppk mentionedquids, such as certain strong cinnamon flavors. I vape a vanilla tobacco all day, no problem, but you might want to check for a thread on eliquids that crack tanks, just to see what people have been running into.

I did look at the Infinity, but the more I research, the more I'm leaning toward an 18650 device. Neither the Infinity, nor the Buzz Pro are.

The Buzz Pro Powerizer RCR123A batteries, and the Infinity 14430 batteries sold by notcigs, deliver just about the same run time, they both test out up in the 620 - 650 mAh range. There's a lot of BS in batteries it turns out, the markings on them don't necessarily come close to reality. Notcigs did a lot of testing to pick the batteries they sell.

I express use in terms of ml because everyone has different vaping style. I generally use 3.1 ohm cartomizers, at about 5V/8W, the batteries last for 6 - 7 ml. If I'm vaping on bare cartos, I use about 6 - 7 ml/day, they last me all day. Another person I know uses about 3 ml/day, they last her over 2 days. When I use a tank, my vaping can bump up to as much as 9ml, then I need to swap batteries in the evening.

I believe the IP, with two sets of batteries and charger, comes in somewhere in the $120 - $130 zone, while the BP with two sets and charger runs about $30 more. I always use the discount code. Given they have the same run time, and have the same internal circuit (they do), it's a matter of personal choice, IP being a thinner but longer mod.

I'll certainly take another look then. There's just so MUCH to learn before you can make a truly informed decision on something like this. It's intimidating.

I happen to have some 510 1.7 ohm catos that I won on their way to me. how well do the Buzz and Infinity work with those?

They can be used up to about 5V, although that would be too hot for me. The devices limit at 15W (higher than several other well known VV PVs). 5x5/1.7 = 14.7W. My single coil carto sweet spot is right around 8W.

I've heard of people using 1.5ohm DCs on them at up to about 4.7V, which is also 14.7W although a little higher current.

You can vary the voltage over 3.5 - 5.5V, so that gives you decent room to work in. With my 3.1 ohm cartos I'll ntend to be 4.7 - 5.2V. It's kind of neat to nudge the voltage up or down, see how the flavor changes
