It's been too long. Need to get back to vaping seriously and quit smoking (again), but I need your help!

Drip from the top, always. Condom method is messy and not good for the cartos. You should drip a couple of drops, turn the carto 1/4, drip a few drops, turn 1/4, etc. Do this until the juice is no longer absorbing into the filling. You may have to put a tissue under after that and give it a little blow from the top end to get any juice out of the center hole until you get the hang of it. To see if I need to do this, I just hold the carto up horizontally, if I can see through the center, it's good to go, if I can't, I give it a little blow out :)

I'll defenitely buy a tank soon!

Congrats on the LT and the new found vape love. Tanks huh?! They my friend are a whole different beast..I hope you have better luck with them than I did/do. I've yet to have a tank work flawlessly but I will keep trying because EVERYBODY tells me that they love tanks. :)

Congrats on the LavaTube! I got mine several weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I read your original post saying that you're back in the game after long wait on the bench, so maybe you haven't seen the vision Stardusts yet. It's like a mini tank-carto thing. I use nothing but Standard Resistance (2.6-2.9 ohm) Stardusts on my LavaTube and they perform flawlessly for me. I would def recommend. Welcome back!

Really? I've got more tanks than I can count and I've had nothing but great success with them!

But you need an adapter for it to fit on anything but an eGo batt, right?

So many things to learn! I really don't know which tank I'll buy. I'll take a lot at the Stardusts and the Sub Tank, but if you have any suggestion, they're all welcome! I'm also looking to buy some new juices. There seem to be a lot of new vendors since my last time here, any suggestion on where to buy?

I placed an order today for the Vivi Nova Tank Kit and added in 5 more of the 2.3 ohm toppers. There have been mixed reviews on them so far, but I figured if the general population is not getting along with them, they should work AMAZINGLY for me. Murphys law and all that jazz you know. ;)

We'll wait and see.

If you ever do get a Sub tank, make sure to try some of Mom & Pop's juice. Wonderful stuff. And don't forget 15% off with coupon code ECFROCKS :)

I much enjoy Dekang juices, they're cheap and tasteful. I also like everything from Tasty Vapor I've tried. Backwoods Brew is beyond words, really really really high quality juice at very reasonable prices. Really the only juice I buy from Canadian vendors is Dekang. I haven't liked any Maple Leaf Vapes flavour I've tried and I've been about 50/50 with Jugheads, some I liked, some I hated. Juice is probably the hardest thing to nail down so just try everythin you have the opportunity to and be ready for taste bud changes. I loved tobacco flavours at first, then I hated fruits, then I hate tobacco, then I loved bakery, then I loved fruit, and so on. I still haven't leveled out! lol

I bought many times from Tasty Vapor and was very pleased, i'll try them again! The only juice I didn't like from them was Tastyfinger.
I agree on BWB, amazing stuff, glad to see they're still there! Their Applewood is amazing.
I'm really happy to be back on vaping, I missed it so much, and so this community!

Looking at tanks right now. It's basically just a cartomizer with a hole in the bottom of it so there's a constant flow of juice? Interesting!

Like Dusty says, Tanks with cartos is very hit & miss. There is a real science to getting it right. Some cartos have better fillers that allow better taste. Some last longer. Some require tiny holes, some require larger holes. Plastic tanks can crack. Glass tanks are expensive. There can also be times where an entire batch of cartos goes bad -(Ask Mindfield) - carto's wont soak liquid & nothing but dry hits. I believe the main reason is the filler has just dried out. Cartos need to be sealed in blister packs.

I've tried half a dozen different types and now I've been pretty content with the Smok Tech single coil 1.7 & 2.8 XL from Canvape & a VPX SS tank from Happy Vaper. I punch them with the 1/4" saddle punch. The 1.7ohm worked best with 4 tiny holes & the 2.8 works fine with 2. The cartos last me a good week - very little if any flooding & all around decent taste. Very cost effective at roughly $1/week plus cost of a Tank.

Good luck

Yup, that's basically it. You can buy pre-punched cartos or punch them yourself with a saddle valve (bought at any hardware store for less than $10), it's much cheaper the latter way of course. They can take a bit of work to figure out how many holes you should punch for a particular juice but really I love them even with that in mind. And it's funny, Tastyfinger is probably my fave TV juice, hehe, just goes to show how subjective it all is!

The Vivi has caught my interest. It seems to be based on the Stardust build but in a full size tank. It looks promising. The initial video from Gotvapes had the owner choking - probably needs some time to fully wick.

I'm surprised your not into rebuildable atty's & haven't pulled the trigger on an Odysseus.

Don't go there.. you'll fire up the nerd in me. The reason I am staying away is a very curious 4 year old that I have at home. I'd never be able to sit and fiddle around without her being all up in my business. :)

I'll stick to the simple stuff for now, like the changeable head vivi's.. ;)

Hello,
As i see you found your nirvana...

But just case other people with a limited budget read that thread, I would suggest that if you have some ability:
Variable Volt Box Mod Kit

And if you think your not able to build it there is:
Variable Voltage White Box Mod

Maybe not very sexy but it does very the job!

And as I see you are from Mtl why dont come and see us at the next meeting end of may?
We are a very friendly bunch of geek. Everyone that did come once, come again. And as said our GO "Northar" no langage problem: we speak frenkglish and vaper... that no body else around understand. :p

In fact, we just have fun! The youngest is in the 20 and oldest is in 60 but I think everybody feel like 15 those night!
