First of all don't beat yourself up. One thing I found that helped me was to keep a tobacco flavor (Cowboy) in stock at 18mg and when I really want an analog that's what I reach for. It's even better with a shorty white auto with orange led, as close to the real thing I can get. On a regular day I'm not fond of the tobacco flavors, but I do now keep Cowboy and Kamel carts on hand just for these situations. It will get better... just get back on the vaping wagon and I hope things get better for you. This is a great family for support so don't ever worry about coming here for help...

No need to beat yourself up Ms. Nancy, it happens. When I first started vaping it was vape and smoke... It took the right flavor combo, the right pv (thank you again V4L), and the personal motivation that I no longer wanted to smoke to finally give them up. You have the motivation, no question on that one, you just need to find that one thing, whether it be flavor, yelling at yourself, etc. to push those analog cravings aside... You'll find a way, we're all here to help (this is one of those times when speaking for the group I think is acceptable)....

Waylon, I am so sorry you got such sad news. I hope things are better now.
What you need to understand is is that life is all about ups and downs and really, really, downs.
Nicotine is a monster that looks for your weak moments and pounces.
Grab two P.V.'s if you must..high nic.. your favorite flavor and vape like a fiend. Make lots of crunchy finger food..carrots, wings, celery, gum, crackers, sunflower seeds even cinnamon toothpicks. Anything to keep your hands and mouth busy.
My saving grace was this forum. As long as I type I can't smoke. The best part was meeting all these wonderful people.

I forgot to add that I am glad you really didn't fall! I thought I was going to find out you had a cast or something just as miserable.

Ciggies don't play fair....they spike the drink.....you have that winnin attitude and you will win the war!....One day at a time sweetie.....one day at a time:)

Sorry to hear of sad news in any circumstances, but try to follow these steps:

1. Get rid of any and all analogs anywhere you may frequent or have them stashed. Also remove all ashtrays and clean up any areas outside where butts have accumulated.
2. Promise yourself to not buy any analogs
3. Promise yourself not to borrow a smoke from someone. Try to avoid social circumstances involving other smokers or smoking acquaintances, especially when you are down, weak or vulnerable.
4. Depending on your personality traits, try to cut down on alcohol consumption until you are confident the drinking won't weaken your resolve. In my case, this step was crucial to my success; over 1 1/2 years later, I can drink socially without any inclination to bum a smoke - this is how I usually caved in the past.
5. Completely disassociate smoking with stressful events or as a means to calm yourself - convince yourself that the nicotine in the ecig will satisfy the cravings, or try other diversions (although this concept is promoted in other cessation techniques, it works much better with the help of our friends at V4L).

Most importantly, thank yourself each day you wake up that you are not smoking; spend a brief moment contemplating how much better off you are, and how bad you would feel if you caved. Good luck, be positive and be strong.
