I fixed my fluxomizer...I think...

Ok so im still a bit new at this but i had made a thread recently regarding my fluxomizers from gotvapes and clearo cartos from nhaler. Im still on the fence about the clearo cartos but am trying to remedy the issue with them so no need to go into it. As far as my fluxomizers...when i first got them i HATED them. Horrible burnt taste even after cleaning and dry burning. Well i think i have figured out the issue. Obviously i took the fluxo apart...i noticed that the rubber seal inside is nothing like all the videos ive seen on the gotvapes site or on youtube. Its a little rubber notched gasket with a little rubber tube coming up...thats it, no other seals. i had set them aside cuz no matter what i did...i could get that burnt taste to go away. Well after playing with it for a while tonight out of boredom...i noticed that wjen i put the drip tip on in really presses on that rubber gasket too hard, possibly making it too close to the atomizer and creating a nasty taste. So i figured what the hell...if i break it no big deal. I decided to take that little gasket and trim down the tube to half the length it was...and i also trimmed the wicks down a bit to accomodate for a little more juice. I gave it a good dry burn, reassembled it, put the drip tip on which now doesnt press down so far with a shorter tube, filled it with some HPNO juice and bam!! no bad taste!! so i went ahead and did it to all 5 of them testing them with different juices afterwards. Problem fixed!! Great vapor and no bad taste!! I was feeling rather proud of myself so i decided to post here to see if anyone else had seem fluxos with that rubber gasket set up before and if they had issues as well. I now have 5 useable cartos when i had for sure thought i wasted my $$$. Ok sorry to ramble...im still a vaping newb and was very excited. :)

Here is the little rubber gasket thing im talking about.

I'm glad that worked for you, but what happens is that little lip on the bottom of the plug gets jammed down onto the coil. If you take a pair of small cuticle or manicure scissors and trim it off almost flush, it won't reach so far into the cup and touch the coil. It looks like you cut the whole plug, from the bottom, to 1/2 the height it was. That means that little lip will still get jammed into the coil. I'm not sure how that could have solved the problem, and it might even keep the plug from sealing and cause a leak, but whatever works...

If you look at that little lip underneath the plug, does it look burnt anywhere? I had one that tasted bad for a few minutes. Then it was o.k.. when I took it apart and looked at it, the lip had been burnt back away from the coil. So it kind of fixed itself. From then on, I was just careful about jamming certain drip tips too far down. They shouldn't even be touching the top of the plug. The tips that come with it are shorter than some other ones and don't reach so far in that they can jam the plug down.

Hey, Smiley. Welcome aboard. :toast: This is the new Supreme Fluxo which has recently replaced the older Deluxe model. Here's an extensive thread on the subject http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gotvapes/289240-new-ce2-supreme-fluxomizers-now-stock-510-808-both-sizes-ohms-easy-fill-system-included.html which has lots of other good suggestions for dealing with the new nipple style seal. Personally, I kept the thin seals and end caps from my old Deluxe Fluxos and am using them with no troubles. I also have some thin clear seals and end caps from some regular polyfill cartos that fit and work in these too. Glad you've figured out a successful fix of your own. :2cool::vapor:

sailorman, thanks for the input, but actually that plug goes in with the tube facing up. I only trimmed the little tube not the bottom part. thats a before picture.

TVC70...thanks, but i looked and those are the ones i purchased, as 808 not 510 since i have a VGO. I was surprised they looked different as well. Wonder if i got sent older models. Im new to vaping. :p

Sorry, I should have worded that differently. I was saying that the new Supremes are indeed what you have, and that's why the seals look different from most youtube vids (which show the old Deluxe). I posted the link because it has numerous suggestions about how to mod these to keep the new nipple seal from burning on the coil. Sorry for the confusion. :vapor:
