first off, MY M402 came today!!! after waiting for a month, its finally here!!
I put it all together and realized that there was no juice in the original atomizer cart though.. wierd but ok..
I put on a Medium cart (marlboro which is what it came with), not very thrilled about the throat hit - almost non existant, but OK..
Is this thing supposed to whistle?
When you look at the atomizer, it looks like there is five holes where it attaches to the battery but I dont think thats where the whistle is coming from. I think its coming from the mouth piece.
Any thoughts?

I don't have any experience with the M-series, but just wanted to congratulate you on choosing an e-cig and wish you good luck! THey really are awesome! Your nic level makes a HUGE difference in throat hit, higher = harsher IME ne way. Also, if you ever decide to try a VG juice be warned, huge throat hit, minimal vapor.

Not familiar with the M402 per se, but in general the mouth pieces can whistle a little. The air does not go through the filler material, but rather around it through little tunnels. This can cause whistling. I know my 510 whistles with some carts. the filler is there to just feed the atty, where the juice boils, and air pulls the vapor through the tunnels generally on either side of the filler-compartment. I took me about a month before I realized this with my 510. The filler does not filter.

Also, with the M40X series there is a small cart inside that can be pushed up from the mouth piece using a paperclip. When I refill a cart I push mine up, fill it then carefully use the atomizer to push the cart back in and seat the mouth piece. The cart may be seated all the way down and causing limited air flow around the cart.

No problem.... The lack of vapor can be pretty common. I wasn't all that impressed with mine in the beginning. After using it for a little over a week it finally broke in and did great. I read that is pretty common. If the battery wasn't fully charged that also could be the culprit. Hang in there and be patient. If this is your first PV I have to tell you, it's much different taking a draw from a PV compared to an analog. If you don't have manual batts, I highly recommend you get some. I found it hard to activate the autos without feeling like I was caving my face in....LOL. The manuals made a tremendous difference for me. If you have autos this doesn't apply, when you take a draw from the PV I found a slow long draw is best. You'll find a way that works for you though. If you have the auto you don't really have a choice how you draw. You draw as hard as it is necessary to activate the battery.

Hope that helps a little.....good luck

Thats a good point, Thank you again. I bought 2 starter kits and three extra manual batteries - all of which are going to be charging tonight. I was going to ask about a break in period but I think you covered that too..

"Caving in my face" -HA, thats funny.. I will charge the manuals and try them tomorrow as well.

Now, to find the right flav - not sure if I am keen on the ones that they sent along but will try different ones when I order tomorrow.

I hope you not a menthol lover...LMAO! It took my girlfriend a month and several juices to find that making her own was the only way to go.

I pretty much stick with coffee. I really like it but everyone is different. I would recommend getting some sampler packs. I wouldn't buy any bigger than 10ml and would recommend 3 or 6ml to find the flavor you like. Most of the suppliers on here are good and pretty quick to get your shipments out, so if you find a sample you like get a bigger bottle or a couple depending on your use.

I ordered about 5 different flav's from litecig tonight too...all "tobacco" flavored for now. Both the wife and I are diggin this!!
hopefully the vapor will get thicker and things will keep going in the UP direction.

I'll have to check the Modifications that everyone has posted too.
