I went to my local brick-and-mortar vape shop today, to get a Mini Protank 2 for parts, for my upcoming micro-glassomizer project.

The lady there told me "sorry, we don't have anymore of these. Just the one in the display case. I'll do 5% off on this one for you if you want it, since the box has been opened. But don't worry, it's never been used and it's clean!"

I thought, good deal, since I just want it for parts. She pulled it out of the display cabinet, closed the box and started punching the price on the till. But for some reason, something seemed odd to me: I reopened the box, peeked inside, and saw a sodding wet used Evod atty with charred wick ends in one slot, and a new unused PT3 atty in the other. I sniffed the inside of the box, and it reeked of some cheap tobacco-like juice I wouldn't want to use for an enema. The tank and drip tip looked clean though.

I showed the contents of the box to the lady, and she started apologizing profusely: "Oooh! Oh my God! I'm so sorry! It's my colleague, she must've placed those atomizers there! I have no idea why she did that. Must've showed them to customers and let them try one with another tank, then mixed the boxes or something. I'm so terribly sorry!"

So I said don't worry about it, just throw a couple of 1.8 ohm attys in there and that'll do. But no, she was so ashamed, not only did she replace the attys, she gave me the entire clearo for free. Sweet! :)

Cool!!!
I was going into the hospital for
A major surgery last month. So a few days before I went to my b&m to Stock up for the hospital stay (1wk) and recovery at home (3wk). Started talking to the clerk about what do Most people do about vaping in a hospital room she laughed and gave me a 30 mil bottle of nic free juice,5 atomizers for my erolls(my stealth vape) and 3 free manger heads for my aerotank)
All she charged me for was the one bottle of 30mil pinks pot juice.
Talk about score!

Please tell me what they do at hospital rooms. Are you able to vape?

These stories are why a B&M still fills a need even with all the tantalizing online prices. It's hard to personalize a transaction with a web page and U.S. Postal Service.

Not really... I was having a chat with the MadVapes guy, via their ticket system, mentioned I was going to be ordering their green apple and clove flavors. He asked me what level I vaped at, I sent back '6mg'... didn't hear anything back for a while, went to pick up my husband from work... and when I got back, in my email was notice that MadVapes had just shipped me a 10ml sample of both green apple and clove... absolutely gratis, even the shipping! Could have knocked me over with a feather!!!

In my case I had to sneak it. A few years back I spent 6 months in a hospital (my spine was severed) but when I was able to get out the bed they were taking me outside to smoke. This time I was in for a weak for a major surgery and it was at a different hospital where I don't know anyone. So I was sneaking my vape to get my fix. The eroll was my best friend for that week. I'm not a fan of its performance normally but desperate times call for desperate measure lol

That's not my experience: most owners of the online stores I patronize reply in person when I email them about something, and their replies are usually intelligent and helpful. But I continue to go to B&M stores whenever possible for 2 reasons:

- I want to support the local economy.

- I don't like to pay online with a credit card or Paypal. For one thing, credit card companies cause so much misery in the world, I don't want to support their business. Also, I'm a big fan of cash payments, because cash is anonymous.

Congrats to those who got a nice bonus outta their B&M or Vendor online, that's customer service at it's finest!

I still get mixed feelings....
Yes I love supporting my local economy; chefs, fisherman, bands and b&ms. I am very loyal to one B&M here out of several.

But I still buy some stuff online. Sorry but I like saving money as much as I like supporting local business.

I buy stuff locally that I need RIGHT NOW IF NOT SOONER... e-juice or drip tip, usually, though I bought a T3S at a local shop.

I order stuff online from American vendors if I want it pretty soon, they have a really good price, but I can wait a few days.

I order stuff from China if it's a screaming ridiculous price for something I'd love to have, but can't afford at local prices, and have thus far pushed to the back of the budget. Either you wait to afford it, or pay very little and wait for it to arrive; you wait either way, but save money the 2nd way. :D
