As an occasional and sporadic eBay seller, I can definitely vouch that USPS is by far my prererred method of shipping. However, when I ship large and/or heavy parcels (especially coast-to-coast transits), UPS is a MUCH better deal....BUT I make sure to pack UPS parcels like I expect them to be dropped from a 3rd story window and run over by an (all too familiar) M1A2 Abrams tank.

LOL! As a former employee of a company that did ALOT of shipping I know exactly what you mean! If my UPS packages had encountered nuclear war on their journey to their destination they would have been as safe as cockroaches.

dont look like it ever got scanned after it was scanned in at the post office here.

Yep.. I have had that happen to me a few times so far.. But with my last few orders, i have been seeing USPS scan them a bit more..

I'm guessing it's just random, but so far i've gotten all of my order within 3 business days.. As long as they show up i'm happy.. When done right, USPS has the fastest shipping without paying an arm for it that i've seen.. (or maybe a leg too?)

I think Bubbasmom that this part of the country the post office is office is the postal special needs class.

OMFG I had a certificate for 5 years with my company and they folded the snot out of it.
The box has enough room but no the mail hag folded the crap out of it resembling cardboard origami for ......s. It is soo wrecked I almost cried.
My company really stopped pumping the nice looking awards out a few years ago to cut cost. DARN IT but I am ticked to no extent that they mangled this heavy cardboard piece along with this nice embossed piece of swag. IT will not be going up on my wall of whoopdity do.

If these postal dorks foul up my deliveries trust me I'm going in a nic induced rage to the postmaster.

My favorite is when they say they delivered it and it's not here. Almost two weeks later and it still isn't here. So much for through rain and snow..how about just arrive.

Oh by the way this isn't an e-cig package from Shawn I was waiting for.

I had one of those online delivery yes, actual delivery no, so I printed it and went to the Post Office the day after my package supposedly arrived.

They asked if I wanted to speak to the Manager, and I said no, I just wanted my package. Which they couldn't find and yes, the Manager did get involved.

Our regular driver was on vacation and the other driver had gotten into trouble before for non-delivery. The Post Office contacted the regular driver who was back and she had my package. And she made a special delivery to get the package to me.

Complain in person, as soon as you can. Ever since this happen, packages have been delivered here on a timely basis. They don't even collect my signature anymore, they just drop it in the box.

--------------

On tracking - I sent a package to my Mom - NJ to AL. It showed that I had dropped off the package and didn't update until 3 hours before delivery occurred a few days later. It should have updated when it passed through the hub in NJ and the one in Montgomery, AL. Nothing online.

--------------

However, USPS has the lowest price for shipping. I always spend the extra $2 bucks to insure my packages. UPS has for me personally - a low delivery actually accomplished rate. I love FedEx, but the cost is outrageous.

It was either 60 Minutes or Consumer Reports that did a test of USPS, UPS and FedEx. They shipped cartons of raw eggs. USPS beat all the other delivery services with the eggs 1. actually arriving and 2. arriving undamaged.

I work retail and do all the receiving for stock at work.
We get packages from USPS (rarely) UPS, FedeX and this air freight drop ship company.

So far this year not one of my store's UPS orders have not had an unopened retaped, damaged or box of stuff missing shipments. The UPS driver pre marks them now for me and waits for me to inspect the order. They have damaged close to 40 grand worth of merchindise for the store, and is a royal pain everytime I have to dispute the cost.

usps and fedex are prefect all the time for the most part.

Air frieght OMG makes UPS look like they handle the packages with kid gloves.

So really other than the goverment employee being well slow as a goverment employee I cant fault the usps.

WOO now my question is HOW? did it get here so fast?
