I've been vaping for about two years now, I've been using blu's but I'm getting pretty disappointed with the carts and other things.
I want to switch but I have a few problems, I'm allergic to PG, and I'm also blind and need a device that is easy to use. This is why I've suffered so long with the blu's. They're easy to use and don't have but two parts to them. I'm asking you guys because many of you have been using these for years and have lots of knowledge. Any advice would be helpful, I've been looking all over and I don't have tons of money to keep trying failures. I know I'm limited because I can't use PG but please, give any advice you might have.

If it's a good kit but expensive still tell me about it... Thank you

Hi blindmice and welcome to ECF. A hearty congrats on 2 years. I would think some type of tank system might help with your issue. I have to go now but I promise I will research and post anything I come up with tomorrow a.m. Sorry to leave you hanging like this and hopefully someone will be along to help.
Best of Luck and I will be back.

At the outset, it seems like cartomisers pre-filled with good liquid, combined with a variable voltage eGo style battery would be a step up. The challenge is in finding decent pre-filled carto's. Halo has a system that would work, and they do offer pre-fills, but I don't see an option for 100% VG on their website. Might be worth contacting them, however.

The reason I mentioned Halo is because their eGo battery has 808 threads and is backwards compatible with their carto's. Also they should be coming out with a VV battery any day now. I'm using a Halo system right now and it's pretty sweet.

OK, well

The BATTERY (power supply) side ....is usually still a single unit. Even I can swap batteries in my box mod in the dark, so I don't expect that swapping batteries will cause you a particular problem at all. Or you could use a fixed battery unit with a fatter battery (if that's what you want) like an eGo or something.

The carto question is at the heart of the issue. There's so many different options, however, pre-filled vs filling them yourself (often with a syringe) is the feedback we need from you. If you don't mind disassembling the carto and filling it yourself, or get someone to do it for you, it really increases your options.

The pre-filled stuff is usually...um...less desirable. However, since vaping is more and more popular, maybe the turn-over on the pre-filled carts will get better and they will be "fresher". I'm dubious.

Tanks, IMO, have a lot of "fiddly" parts. Cartos can often be filled with a blunt syringe and maybe only have a cap. The trick is telling when it's full.

Anyway...with a carto....most any PV and carto combo is a "two piece".

OTOH...you could try dripping with an atomizer. It's hard to try to drip by feel...because you count drops. But I've done that too. It CAN be done. You can easily tell when it's time to drip more by taste/performance. Dripping 3 drops into an atomizer by feel is more about squeezing the bottle the same everytime and counting seconds....

HEY! Wait!!!

A BOTTOM FEEDER! Using blank cartos! That's the ticket! They do that by feel.....it's called squonking.

Could you tell us more?

What is disappointing about the cartos and "other things?"

Is there someone that will fill cartos for you if you feel you can't?

Sure, the carts are never consistent, some don't have flavor or are burnt tasting. Many stop working after an hour. In the beginning I could go a day and a half on one cart. Now, I'm lucky if they last 4 hours. Lately, they've been out of stock of my main flavor. I also have purchased several new batteries and they were all broken (two at a time) only to have to send them back getting two more broken batteries. This happened 3 times in all.

I don't have anyone who can fill carts for me, this is why I have stayed with the blu's for so long.
I do know that they have many others (ecigs) that have come to the market since I started vaping, I worry I'll run into the same thing only to end in more frustration and a lot poorer.

HMMMM

Isnt there a mechanical mod that has a bottle of juice inside it? Thats a simple screw it in thing.

Also I know I saw a drip tip somewhere that has the bottle of juice screw right to it. Just stick it in your dripping atomizer and sqeeze the bottle to drop no worries about missing.

Edit this is the drip tip I was thinking about Drip on Demand | MODS | iVAPE

It basically has a small juice bottle built into it. You squonk it and a tube runs up into the bottom of an atomizer. You vape 10 or so hits, squonk, vape 10, squonk...etc.

Maybe the bottom feeder people will chime in. I don't own one.

Make sure you use protected batteries in it. They are generally swappable batteries that require an external charger.

Honestly starting out with a simple Ego battery and a CE4 will take you a long way!

i agree on the bottom feeder route, a reo with an hh 357 and a drip shield should be as easy and simple there is. pricey though.

charging the batteries would be kinda difficult, but if you can charge blu's, it shouldn't be any different really.
the juice bottle should be pretty easy to figure out after a couple minor spills
the atomizer well, from what i've heard they last quite some time

YEP! It's called a bottom feeder. (See end of my last post).

Yeah but those are really expensive last I checked. I mean, I want one myself but my checking account became very, very cross with me. Not a bad idea though if in the OP's price range. Pretty straightforward. Put bottle in, squeeze and vape. :)

I just got a VMOD and I would recommend it over other things I have used (tanks, mostly) to someone without their eyesight. The VMOD XL holds 1 18650 battery should last you all day depending on your habits, and 9ML of liquid (the equivalent to about 10 cartomizers) I'm just speculating here but I think it you could easily swap batteries or juice bottles by feel, and vaping is as simple as sqeeze the bottle, press button and vape. Filling a 9ml bottle every few days sure beats filling several cartomizers a day. Really no need to carry anything extra, either. Charging/changing batteries, and filling the juice bottle would be your only obstacle.

Note: I don't have the VMOD XL I have the smaller one, but have to fill bottles or swap batteries multiple times per day, so I recommend the XL based on that.

I had edited this into my post on hte previous page but I dont think anyone saw it.

A dripping atty + one of these might work
Drip on Demand | MODS | iVAPE

The bottle attaches to the side of the drip tip and you just squeeze it. Much lower investment and I believe Blu's are 510 threaded. SO it might be possible to avoid a new battery system for awhile.

Interesting, I have not seen this one before. For $12 I'd say it's worth a shot. If it works for you, then you could feel confident buying a more expensive bottom feeder type device.

I have no idea what to recommend to the OP as a dripping atty to go with it though. I haven't tried the dripping thing yet.

Know what you mean about Blu, they're not consistent in their cartomizers. I'd get good ones, bad ones, ones that didn't seem to even have been filled, all in the same little box.

Far as prefilled cartomizers that are all VG and no PG, Johnson Creek comes to mind. They make the juices for Blu. Their "Red Oak" line is VG only. Their site is over this way: https://www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com/. Now, it's the Red Oak line that's VG only. Their "Original" line has some PG in it. And, unfortunately, they don't seem to have many of their flavors in cartomizers. At least not yet. Some. Not all.

They do use the 510 threads however which means you could try their prefilled cartomizers on the Blu batteries.

If you can afford a bottom feeder as some folks are suggesting, that might be a pretty decent solution. They do have a bottle that needs to be filled but it holds a lot of liquid and wouldn't have to be refilled so often and the batteries go for a long, long time. I've been kicking around getting one myself but I've spent too much lately on liquids to think about new gadgets. :)
