Hi. I'm trying to quit regular cigs and want to start using e-cigs. I've tried the Blu disposables, which I didn't really like. I've been really enjoying the njoy kings, but they don't last nearly enough. Can someone give me a recommendation of a better brand? How about Halo? And would you recommend the Triton or G6? Or another brand? thanks!

It depends on the size that you want. The cig-a-like kits will be better then the gas station ecigs, but not as good as a fat battery. The G6 is a cig-a-like and the triton is a fat battery. I've read many good things about the Halo gear but have never tried it myself. Just know that if you go with Halo, you will be more limited in the atties that you can use.

Most people would suggest going with an eGo style battery or something with a 510 connection.

If you are set on choosing between the Triton and the G6, I would recommend the Triton.

However, your money would be much better spent on this Kanger eVod Kit - Blue which is cheaper than the Triton (which for what it is, is terribly overpriced).

EDIT: And I agree with the above users about the variable voltage stuff. a battery like this is a good starter Joye eGo-C Twist - 1000mAh Battery - Black

Oh man. so many options haha. Would anybody be able to explain the differences between the Triton, Vision Spinner, and Kanger kits? I'm looking to make the most educated decision as possible. Thanks!!

The vision spinner, ego twist are variable voltage batteries that let you adjust voltage output. The kanger battery that comes in the kit (I believe) is not variable voltage and will output a constant 3.7? volts. Higher voltages allow you to potentially create a warmer/thicker vapor. I recommended the Kanger kit because of the tank that is included. It is, in my opinion, a pretty user friendly tank that is relatively inexpensive and allows people to get their feet wet with these types of things, while still being decent quality.

The Triton, in all honesty is just overpriced. If the triton batteries are not variable voltage, then it is pretty much identical to the kanger kit, except the kanger kit's tank (from my experience) is better. Triton's products just look like rebranded versions of all the common entry-level ecig stuff, which anyone can get for alot cheaper from other places.

I think you might want to upgrade to full vape gear. If what you are seeking is longer battery life and more control over your vape, that you can use any juice in, then a variable voltage battery is best. Here's my two cents on these:

Stick Batteries, known as eGo Style Batteries (entry level, backup, out and about, stealth, primary):

Trusted Vendors shown, but NOT selected based on pricing, you'll still need to shop around. You will need device specific battery chargers (which often come in kits) for these devices. Also, kits often provide two batteries allowing for simultaneous vaping while charging of the backup. Each of the eGo style batteries below have both 510 and eGo thread connections. As such, they are compatible with most toppers, including most Kanger products. Additionally, each of these devices has at least variable voltage, which allows you to adjust and regulate the battery output voltage, providing customizable vapor production, temperature, throat hit, and finding the "sweet spot" for your juices to suit your individual vaping preferences:

1. Innokin iTaste 3.0 vv/vw, usb passthrough, ohms reader, etc. - https://ivape.net/index.php/iTaste-VV-3.0-Variable-Wattage-Device-Pearl-Chrome.html (variable power, LCD display, +/- buttons, Usb passthrough, 3.3 - 5.0 volts, 6.0 - 11.0 watts, 800mAh)
2. SLB KGO VV - http://www.hoosierecig.com/Mega-KGO-VV-1200mAh-3-6v-_p_441.html (LCD display, +/- buttons, Usb passthrough, 3.0 - 6.0 volts, 650 - 1200mAh)
3. Vision Spinner - Vision Spinner VV eGo Battery 1300mAh (3.3 - 4.8 volts, 1300mAh)
4. Joyetech Twist - eGo Twist 1000 Mah Battery in Black (3.2 - 4.8 volts, 650 - 1000mAh)
5. Smoktech Winder - Smok eGo Winder 900mAh Variable Volt Battery (3.2 - 4.8 volts, 900 - 1100mAh)

Best Starter Combo kit out there, imho, provides two batteries, i.e., the twist and/or spinner, and two toppers, i.e., the eVod and/or MT3s, among others: http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm.

Recommend one eVod and one MT3s topper with one Spinner and one Twist to start. This way you get four different products with the kit and allowing you to experience four different setups, as you figure out your preferences and what works best for you. Alternatively, two Spinners with two evods is a safe bet as well, and most users like them a lot. Eventually, you'll want to add a Protank or Davide. Very good clearos. BTW, you can spend less and get a fixed voltage battery, but you'll have much less vape flexibility and it won't be long before you'll want to upgrade to variable voltage, more than likely, and the difference initially is only a few dollars per battery anyway.

There is no right or wrong, only personal preference and experience. Most everyone I see on here ends up upgrading to something more. Seems like MORE, MORE, MORE is a common thread and pattern, almost like an addiction or something...Anyway, do your homework. There's some excellent advice here before this posting. Do yourself a favor and opt for longer battery life in the beginning. Recharging is a PITA and gets old real quick. YMMV, so maybe lower works for you, but it doesn't work for most, except as a backup, stealth, and out and about batt. Keep that in mind. The suggested kit remains an excellent backup for years to come if you do upgrade to an APV later. People end up wasting their money when they buy something that they NEVER use again. Anyway, my two cents. Welcome, congrats on quitting, good luck, happy shopping, Power Up and Vape On!

Thanks. So maybe I should go with the Vision Spinner kit? Is Vapor Visions a reputable vendor? Vision Spinner 1300 mAh VV Starter Kit, Vision Spinner, VV Starter Kit

Also, do most people prefer the clearomizer of the cartomizers?

Hi and welcome! I'm about to pop off to sleep, so if you ask a question about this someone else will have to answer :)

Since you're interested in a VV kit, this one is the best bang for you're buck I know of right now:

Thanks! I guess I'll try this one, since it was recommended by a few people (http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm). What's the difference between the Spinner and the Twist, and the eVod and MT3?

The spinner and the Twist are pretty much the same. One is made by Smoktech and one by Joyetech, respectively. I have never used the spinner, but the twists do their jobs. I imagine they are pretty much the same.

I also haven't used the MT3 before, but I'm pretty sure the evod is a newer design.

BTW, because of the material these tanks are made out of there are certain e-liquids that shouldn't be used with the tank, here is a list that is not comprehensive Here is a list of e-juices known to deteriorate polycarbonate tanks:. I would actually recommend a Protank as your second tank, Kanger Protank Pro Tank Glassomizer this is because I can almost guarantee you that you are gonna want a glass tank once you get more into vaping.

Also, regarding your question about clearomizers vs cartomizers, I personally prefer cartomizers. Although, some of my friends prefer clearomizers. It really is just personal preference. This article will definitely explain the differences better than I can https://www.vapehut.com/Articles.asp?ID=255.

Kanger EVOD kit is pretty nice. Basically an EGO kit with a regulated battery, it outputs a little more power to the tank/clearomizer which should improve vapor output. It is also regulated so it puts the same amount of power out no matter how much the battery is charged.

If you really want to dig a little deeper the EGO twist is variable voltage, and the VAMO is probably the most popular pretty affordable mod which you can pick up for about 50 bucks if you look hard enough. This will hold loose batteries so you really only need one VAMO and you can have some backup batteries if you need to.

As for clearomizers, tanks. The Kanger Pro Tank 2 is the latest and greatest, although there are plenty of good ones.
