My new UFS is working great except for 1 small problem. Sometimes I get a dry hit. A couple of quick pulls without firing cures the problem. Is this something that's common? I'm vaping 50vg/50pg. And my feed is adjusted almost completely open....My airflow is just cracked and I find this is the best combo for the most vapor. But why the dry hits. I'm using a COV 1.5 DC Atty.

The COV DCA is a tight draw and a juice hog. Good atty though. I think it just may be the nature of the beast with them.

Could you recommend another atty? I didn't care for the i06 or the HH357 in the UFS. I love the DC, but I'd be willing to try something else.

I have had this same problem also, but it isnt a big deal, I usually do the same, and take a dry pull, and I am good again. I found the DC style attys to be juice happy, and eventually hit a dry spot... it happens to me time and time again. At this point, I just live with it....it isnt that big of a deal, its a great atty otherwise...

I have heard the same often Strpr. I must say I have tried both ways and for me what seems to work is to simply tighten the cap until I feel resistence. Turning it down tight and then backing off may make a better vacuum but I can see it taking its toll on the o-ring there over time.

On the other hand, I have heard of others using the DCA's in the UFS and as good as it is, finding the same issue you do with dry hits. The DCA is great in normal circumstances but keeping both coils wet walk a fine line between just right and not enough or too much juice.

I thought you were supposed to tighten it down and then back it off a touch....Could I have that oring down too tight?

Even if you tight it first, you have to unscrew it again and leave it relaxed. Not very relaxed so it will fall of the UFS but relaxed if you know what I mean. Just a very little tight str.

Relaxed, I'll have to remember if and when I ever use my UFS2, cant decide on an atty, plus my iatty is the sickest. If I could put it down for a minute I might try something else.

Thats great Mud, I am glad to hear that you use Iatty all day:). But be sure that you have to try Odysseus. I am serious on this!
