I have been renovating

Hello groovers!

As many of you know, a couple of years ago we bought an old house. A REALLY old house - over 130 years. A month ago we finally decided to start restoring it. Ripping out carpets, restoring floorboards, painting etc. I'll have to share some photos - it's starting to really take shape!

But anyway, I was sitting on the floor (because the furniture is all squished into one tiny room) on Sunday night, glass of red in one hand, PV full of hopscotch in the other and thought "hmm, when we reconnect the net I'll have to share these photos with the gang, it's been a few weeks since I've been on." Then I get a "where are you" message yesterday from VGF (thanks for caring, chick!) and log on. Holy crap, I haven't been here for over a month! This is seriously uncool. No wonder I'm so stressed! And somehow, in my absence I turned Vet. Wow. A whole year!

Anyway, I'm sorry lovelies! I have been so neglectful!

I'll hook the net up again over the next few days (everything was disconnected so we could paint around it) and log on of an evening. but meanwhile I'll try catch up a bit more while I'm at work (where I am now - lunch time!).

Elpha - I'm glad you're okay! I was worried!

Renovations are a pain, but are worthwhile. We live in a house that was built in the 1920s. We've been slowly (very slowly) renovating. We ripped out the carpets and restored the hardwood floors about ten years ago, but since then, projects are limited. But, about two weeks ago, we decided to renovate one of our enclosed sun porches. So, we worked on that most of the weekend. It's going to become the puppies' play room.

No new gossip; let's start some!

renovations are a pain but very satisfying when completed. Pam and I do alot of yard work with the kids ourselves. Glad to see you back. My brother and his 2 kids are in town visiting right now so were all hanging out together

I tell you what, it's way less stressful painting when you are a vaper. When I smoked, every time I stopped painting and went out for a cigarette I would worry my hands would ignite when I lit the bloody thing. No such concerns with my little button.

Elpha - I agree with you; renovations are so much easier when not smoking! Although I don't recall worrying that my hands would ignite, I do recall taking many cig breaks often when I was stripping the floors. What a hassle! Doing projects now are so much easier since we don't smoke.
