Well after today, i check with my lawyer. Actually there is a law in my country about nicotine and devices. So the device is not been check by quality assurance and a quality check for safety by a government body here so it is consider not approve. So be it, i learn that the PV's will be with them until it's check out and that will take forever for them to check and i will consider it's gone.. lol..

I'm going to my other office in another continent so anyone from Baltimore, NY and Lelystad,Netherland? Is it safe to vape outdoors? I'm don't want to get in trouble in other people's country. Thanks to some of the guys for the links, so i have a better understanding

WOW, things sure have changed since I visited Penang in '67!

Well, that was 45 years ago...

I'll never forget an absolutely fantastic three hour seafood feast in an isolated mansion on a small inlet. I've never had soooo much delectable food, cold beer, warm service and dazzling scenery; all for $7.50 including a very generous gratuity!

I truly enjoyed the country, people and multi-cultures. It's one of the few places I'd love to revisit if welcomed!

Hope you have no further issues. And thanx for da ol' memories!

Here's a good read:

Government Property Seizures out of Control

Although it's not really extortion so much as it is armed robbery.

Some interesting stats to ponder can be found here:

Asset forfeiture - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

..............................

That's fascinating. But police don't make the laws, they just enforce them. That's neither extortion nor armed robbery.

The local pd ran over and killed a guy on a bicycle here last year. The cop was speeding. He did not have his flashers or siren on and was not headed to a call. When it got to court the maslaughter charge was reduced to reckless driving. He got a $250 fine. A man who commited no crime is DEAD.

Love that justice system. It rocks if you are a cop.

A touching story. I suppose this tale is somehow intended to convey the message that cops are evil. So if an ice cream truck accidentally runs over a pedestrian, all ice cream truck drivers are also evil? I really don't see how a traffic accident is relevant though. And not every accident results in a manslaughter charge, whether it is a cop driving or not.

It would have made more sense if you told us a story about a crooked cop taking a bribe, or something of that nature. To which I would have replied that crooked cops should be arrested and prosecuted. I was thinking the poster I addressed my question to might have some such reason for his/her statement. Your rant, on the other hand, is way out in left field.

Yeah. Jacking someone at gunpoint isn't armed robbery. Keep telling yourself that.

And I'm sure the ice cream truck driver would have got a $250 fine as well. I totally believe that. The fact that you are making excuses for that murderer speaks volumes to me.

Yeah. Jacking someone at gunpoint isn't armed robbery. Keep telling yourself that.

The lawful seizure (by police) of property used in the commission of a crime is not "armed robbery," and an unintentional traffic accident that unfortunately results in a fatality is not "murder." Maybe you need to look up the definition of these words.

And I'm sure the ice cream truck driver would have got a $250 fine as well. I totally believe that. The fact that you are making excuses for that murderer speaks volumes to me.

Just for kicks I went to google news to check for recent fatal car accidents. As luck would have it, one of the first hits was a story that puts your insane rant into proper perspective and illustrates my point perfectly. Here's the story from yesterday (June 22, 2012) about an accident that occured in New Jersey on May 13, 2012:

No charges filed against driver in fatal accident that killed Butler resident - NorthJersey.com

A car crossed over into the oncoming lane of traffic, hitting a motorcycle and killing one person on the motorcycle. The driver of the car was not a cop, however the deceased victim on the motorcycle was a retired NJ state trooper lieutenant. The driver that "murdered" [your word, not mine] the retired cop on the motorcycle was charged with no crime, only issued summonses for failure to keep right and careless driving.

The nazi's were just following orders too, don't ya know.

What can I say to someone who seriously compares genocide to any of the above? Nothing, and you'll get no further response from me.

Yeah, here in the USA I've had cops just walk up and ask about it and they think it's awesome, I even switch a new drip tip on and let one of the cops try it, he asked me where he can get one lol. I guess the US isn't as oppressive as people here think. I'm sorry you lost your equipment.

This.

I know people complain about big government here in the US, and I'm not saying ours is perfect,,,,,but we have a way to change what we don't like. Thank GOD. Thank GOD for the USA and those that risk and lost their lives to keep me free.

I also know there are plenty of other wonderful countries in the world,,,,,I've been to many of them (Travel agent now since 1988). My sympathies to those who have to hide to vape :(

Man that sucks! I can't believe there banned in certain parts of the world. That is crazy, are cigarette's banned to in the same places e cigs are banned?

Its politics in many of those countries especially in Asia, the tobacco companies there make a metric .... tone of money as almost everyone smokes... a lot. The tobacco companies lobby the govt. to get laws like this passed to help protect there sales.

I'll be in Baltimore this Tuesday.. will be vaping inside in the office/hotel no outdoor for me. Thank you for the info

You will be fine. I was pulled over in the country where the cops have nothing better to do. If your in the city, the cops there could care less 2your smoking. You could be hitting a .... in your vehicle and they wouldn't pull you over. Cops in Baltimore City have much more serious stuff to worry about. They don't like having to do paper work for stupid pretty ...... Trust me man. You will be perfectly fine in the city. Its when you go to the county's when the cops become......
