Stopped by the law for vaping

When I started Vapeing I went into my bosses office and gave him the whole spiel about it. I drive truck for a liveing and the company's phone # is plastered all over it figured some busy body would call in. Sure enough 4 months 3 phone calls. I would rather have the oppurtunity to talk to a cop than some uninformed dogooder.

I know they do this all the time. When I came to a dui checkpoint I asked don't you feel this is a violation of our 4th amendment rights? He looked me right in the eye and says is that alcohol on your breath? I said whaaaaatt no! your gonna act like that because I asked u a question?

He turned to my now ex wife in the passenger seat and asked have u been drinking? What does that matter?!!!

I don't normally troll, but I couldn't help after reading this thread. I made a thread about starting a Chuch of tobacco. I think if we made a religion out of tobacco and got the government to recognize it, even as dumb as it sounds, people wouldn't be able to say as much, and it could be a big win

Good idea, but someone would figure out a way to require that we only vape while at church. I can see that now! Puff, puff, puff ... amen ... puff, puff, puff.

i get stopped often and i so want to argue the law but i often ask for favors from Law Enforcement.. like, will u not arrest him/her if i take them to my house? or center for drug free living? or if they clean the park for a week?

Everytime I pull out my mod in public someone has to say "hey man is that drugs"... Out of respect to the forum rules, I won't go into much detail, but if you've been around long enough, you'd have seen some e-cigs that look a lot like things they shouldn't look like. So that's not entirely true.

I work in a non smoking prison. I use a purple REO. I didn't know until last week that the entire inmate population thought I was smoking a "pipe". Custody "guards" thought it was funny as hell, so never corrected the inmates /sigh. I COULDN'T figure out WHY the inmates had become so FRIENDLY!!!......

I'm in and out of court houses every week and take my Darwin through the scanners every time. Never had a problem. In fact, I have given my little card with advice and web sites for vaping to more deputies and police than any other sub-group.

I agree. People who make those comments on ECF are not helpful.

Haha, I do the exact opposite. When I see a cop coming up I start vaping up a storm just to see if he will pull me over. No luck yet

I have a GGT, has a side button at the bottom of the tube furthest from the connector... So I can hold and fire like an e-pipe.... So when I see a cop I do just that.... No takers yet.

I'm kind of schizo I think with the vaping in the car... when I'm by myself, especially on my way to work and have to drive by the Sheriff's Building, I use a little volt that is white and if I have the automatic one (i have 1 auto, and 1 manual) hold it like a cigarette. But if I have my granddaughter in the car, I use my eGo and keep it more covered in my hand, because it's illegal to smoke in the car in California when a minor is in the car... I'm still new enough, that I haven't completely got my mind figured out on this yet...

Well, my appreciation of my local LEOs just went down several notches this evenin' (three hours ago)!

Was at da 'office' (see my previous post) to drop off 60ml of joose and a couple of eMDCCS for one of my younger c'verts. Some of da local young bucks were harmlessly tossing a football in the parking lot. Had a 'n00b' SD deputy tell them that football wasn't allowed... WHAAA...?

Please keep in mind I spent 20 years in the USAF, 21 in industry and raised three lovely and successful daughters and played by da rules. But this just pizzed me off to the point that I asked for the FB and started tossing it with a couple of my older 'ramp rats'. Notta from that dep! Sure was hopin' though...

My point...? Educate when ya can and know your rights when they don't listen! The younger you are, the more bull snit you have to deal with. (Excuse me while I call in a complaint)

Before I call... to all the LEOs on this forum, I appreciate what you have to deal with... just reciprocate if you want respect!

I wouldn't sweat an ignorant/diligent LEO stopping me to check on my equipment. Yes, people are very ignorant about vaping. People are ignorant about everything.

You're an LEO. You see someone inhaling on something that is clearly NOT a cigarette. You see what looks exactly like smoke coming out of their mouth. What are they supposed to think? Even if they are aware of electronic cigs/vaporizors, unless they're an ECF regular, they're not going to know every vape kit out there. And with all of our box-mods, VV tubes, all sorts of DIY devices/rigs...

No - ecigs don't look like (Other) pipes, but they sure as hell don't look like tobacco devices either.

It's not the LEO's fault that the US has a totally effed up drug enforcement policy.

I don't even chance it. Around here you would get bound in cuffs, tossed in a cage, given a stainless john to crap in exposed to all, squirted with delouser in all your cracks and crevices while officers of the law watch and mock, and allowed to put your house up for bond. You might get out in a day or so after they "find" your paperwork. All while they send your vape to the crime lab for verification. You get to purchase a lawyer and show up in court to defend yourself after that.

Innocent until proven guilty? I think not.

So, when I see a cruiser I put the vape down. Yes I am within my rights. But some animals are more equal than others and in this day and age "compliance with authority" trumps rights.

Sad, yes. Right, no. Reality, you better believe it.

Police state. We live in it in the USA. Act accordingly.
