Hello everyone. Ive been vaping for about a year now. But i just upgraded from an ego and a vivi nova, to a mechanical mod and an rda atomizer. I have the Tree of Life mechanical mod by Hcigar (not authentic) and the Trident RDA (also a clone). Ive been using this setup for about a month now, i know how to build coils, i usually get about from .2 to .6 ohms. Also i forgot to say i have a sony VTC4 battery (original). The problem is that when i try everytime to get a huge cloud out of that setup, i never get it. Yes, i get big clouds but not even a quarter of the size of RIP Trippers ones. Ive seen his cloudchasing videos and everything but i can never get a huge amount of vapor. Aso i use 100% VG juice. Do you think is because of my mechanical mod or my rda that are not originals? Do you think if i buy and authentic 170+ dollars mod and an authentic RDA atomizer like the Plume Veil for example, will i get a huge amount of vapor?

First off, I have to say it just to get it out of the way... it always worries me when I see someone talk about low ohm builds but only spec to the tenth of an ohm. There is a huge difference in current draw between a .20 ohm coil and a .25 ohm coil. Your battery is rated for 30amps continuous, so you should be ok, but if you don't have a very good meter that .2 coil could be .15 for instance, and that could be pushing your battery right to the very edge... if you're well versed with safety then you'll appreciate me taking the time to point this out just in case. If you're not, then I'd suggest you leave yourself a lot more wiggle room in your builds.

Now that that's out of the way, with a dripper it's all about the build. A small change in coils out wick can make a big difference in vapor production. Air flow also plays a huge factor. Some pics of your setup would be helpful, but common problems I've seen include way too much wire giving a longer heat up time, stuffing too much wick in there, not getting good wick to coil contact, and bad air flow.

Another thread just a bit ago was someone only doing mouth hits, I assume you're doing lung hits?

As Topwater Elvis mentioned "lighting & camera positioning" is what you are seeing in those videos.

However, I will add that you check your voltage drop on the mech mod... assuming a fully charged battery check that you are getting at least 4.00v on the 510 connection and also check the drop under load... 3.8v under load should be fine.

GPLAT instead of Khantal (gets hot faster) should also help, but you need to be very careful since its a very low res wire.
