Been DIYing for a couple of months now and have found it to be real rewarding both financially and mentally. It's great to be able to try different recipes adjusted to my tastes and nic content. My only problem is that I can't seem to ever have enough flavors; it seems that I need just one or two more to try a new recipe. It's been great.:vapor:

I spilled 1.2ml of tfa strawberry ripe flavor concentrate today, and boy that flew me into panic attack mode. Trying to find stuff on msds about the fumes and exposure to it and what not...still won't open my garage door yet. It smells like a million strawberries are right under my nose. But If that was my bottle of nic, I would have probably called 911 lol it aint for clumsy folks like myself lol.

Ummm...so you'll heat and inhale it...but when you spill 1.2mL you quarantine your mixing area? You do know these flavorings are food grade right? Meaning you can eat them? Smelling the fumes isn't going to kill you. Sorry, I'm not trying to be mean or anything but I think you are being WAY to cautious.

On the other hand, calling 911 over spilled nicotine isn't too crazy imo. Especially if you use high concentrations like 100+mg/mL...Though it might be easier(not to mention less embarrassing) if you simply open your garage door to provide ample ventilation and clean up the nic with a big bucket of hot water and a sponge while wearing gloves if you do ever happen to spill nicotine.

Don't get me wrong. It is good that you're overly cautious. But to that level I think it's unnecessary.

DIY is the way to go. It is very inexpensive and you can tailor to your own tastes. I prefer fruit mixes so I make them for the most part. I find that a lot of what I mix is as good if not better than the ones I purchased at my local B&M. Although there were a few vendor juices I liked it certainly isn't worth the $18.00 a bottle they charge for it. I love knowing that I can make a 30 ml bottle for less than $1.50.

Went to a vape meet this weekend. Gave out bottles of one of my favorite mixes. (scored a deal on the main flavoring so I was really in the season spirit.)

Folks are dripping it and telling me I should sell it because I could make some money. I told them they were missing the point and that would be no fun. That's about the time lobsters started crawling out of my ears...at least that is what their expressions seems to indicate.

The best way to take the fun out of almost anything is to rely on it for making money.

But which one? Too hard to choose, get both... Oh, while you're at it, you might want a few more to round out the order... but then if you spend $50, you can get free shipping... and then again, since you have a pallet jack in your garage....

Yep, did that with my first business. Sucked the fun out of my hobby forevermore. I had to find new hobbies and I'll be damned if I make that mistake again.

Bet I'm still the best lawn mower mechanic in the area. Darn shame I sold the specialty tools with the business...nah, not really, still not fun like it used to be.

Tools are cheaper for the mixing hobby anyway. Takes longer to get a mix just right than it did to do a complete teardown and rebuild, but I'm not in a race anyway.

Fun is the real key to making good stuff. As soon as it's not fun, I move on to another flavor idea.
