That's correct, I stepped into the vaping sense with both feet, gotta quite smoking at all costs, so I went ahead and spent $350 on equipments:

Provari with 18650 battery.
Aspire Nautilus Tank.
MTBaker ejuice (555 & Strawbana).

They all arrived the same day, I put everything together following the instructions and all, I take my first drag :vapor:, and man does this thing taste bad  !!!!

Even those cheap disposable ecigs in retail stores were much better, I am not sure whether my expectations where too high but I think something is wrong, since I was a 2+ pack smoker I started with 18mg nicotine, 50/50 PV/PG, the Nautilus is low resistance and I tried to vape everywhere from 2.9v all the way upto 4.5v and still I cant get a feel of it.

- When I inhale, it hits my lungs so hard. It is dry and I feel my lungs hate what I am doing.
- I also feel the vapor is bone dry no matter where I set the volts and leaves bad residue in my mouth.

I smoked blu cigs before and they were just great, nothing like what I am experiencing, the ejuice I got seems to be coming from a reputable supplier too and flavors rated 5 stars in reviews. I read the term "unvapable" on the forum and these last 2 days I learned what that means.

Please help.

It's the juice. MBV makes it when you order so it needs time to steep to taste correctly. Tobacco juices in particular need a lot of steeping time, many a month for them to taste right. MBV isn't the best out there but is certainly vapable, it's what I'm currently using. Sure, my preferred vendor is Good Life Vapor. Much better juice but at a much higher price. MBV gets the job done on a budget, if you have the cash then a better quality supplier would certainly help.

I would say it's the juice too... but could also be the Nautilus. Some of us have had issues with the coils burning pretty fast. If you keep getting a burnt taste, try swapping for the extra coil that came with it and let it sit for a few minutes before you start vaping, to make sure the wick saturates. :)

Oh, also - the gear you have now is MUCH more powerful than the cig-a-likes you were using before. If you try to do a straight lung hit, it will hit you like a train. Try doing mouth-lung hits first, or French inhales.

As a last resort you could put the bottles in a Ziploc bag and float them in some very warm water (not hot enough to melt bottles) for an hour. Take them out and set them on the counter with cap and drip tip removed for another hour. Also search rice steeping as another method. You can't fix cheap juice but this may help take the edge off it a little bit.

Hang in there, order some Halo juice right away then clean and replace the coil in the Nat. Also, make sure you have the at least 1/3 of the tank filled. I'm hoping you stick with it!

Just be aware that Halo is high PG and that they won't tell you that. If it doesn't irrate your throat then you are probably going to be ok with higher PG ratios.

My first thought when reading this is to wonder if you filled your tank and immediately started vaping on it without letting the wick get saturated (as others have suggested). When I have wicking problems, the vape is horrible. At the first hint of a burned or harsh hit, I know it's time to change out wicks. Once you've burned some juice on a coil, it's hard to get rid of the nasty taste without cleaning things up...search for dry-burning your coil, it's a way to burn off the old juice and return your coil to like-new condition.

I rebuild my own, so for me it's a matter of dry burning the coil and putting in a new wick. With replaceable atomizers, it's time to put a new one in. Every single time I've had harsh vapes, replacing the wick or coil has instantly returned things to enjoyable.

Thanks for all the great suggestions and valuable support.

I did leave the juice saturate for about 10 minutes before taking my first drag.

I think as many have mentioned the problem is a combination of maybe a bad coil + fresh juice that needs steeping.

I'll order more juice today, and replace my coil, and give it another shot.

Thanks folks

Grab the halo tobacco sampler. Also get some xpress from Ahlusion . They both are ready to vape. Then quickly start piling up flavors ago they step while you are waiting. I would try Ahlusions Carmel wild wood and strawberry vanilla cake both 50/50. Between halo sampler and xpress you should be just fine

Ahlusion 50/50 a good idea. Halo not so much. Halo is high PG and not a good choice for someone reporting extreme dryness. Not to mention the fact we could be in big trouble depending on what the FDA does and Halo is not helping by playing the secret ingredients game.

Agree totally. Ahlusion all the way. I stopped vaping Halo long time ago because of their secret ingredients. Halo will provide you in my opinion with the best satisfaction from vaping ejuice, not because of the taste, but because of their undisclosed ingredients.

Like others have said it may be your coil. When I load a new coil into any tank, I always let it sit for 5 minutes, take a couple of dry pulls with no power then power up @3.3 volts and do a couple of very quick power bumps before raising the power to 3.7 volts.

This method has always worked for me however, your results may very depending on your juice.

Good luck and stay analog free!
