I would say it's the juice. I don't like MBV juice at all with any amount of steeping. In the future when you order any tobacco juice you will have to steep it for anywhere between 2-4 weeks.

Agreed - between the juice vendor (who I don't like any juices from) to your initial vaping technique (please read that link provided above). I think it's a combo of things.

I am new to vaping like you, and like you I started with the electronic cigs from Greensmoke(similar to Blu) but then bought a simple ego twist/protank combo shortly after, and it took my lungs a few weeks to adjust, now I am just starting to get used to my mech mod and RBA,. If you are like me, you will need time to adjust to the more powerful atomizer At first, I wondered why anyone could suck on those hookah things when my Greensmoke ecigs worked so well, but now I never touch them anymore, as I crave my Protanks and RBAs more.

I know you've already spent a grip of money but might I suggest getting a simple, inexpensive ego twist battery with a protank 2? They are easy to use and easier on the lungs. Your going to need a back up anyway.

The others are right though you need to let the flavors steep but I wouldnt give up on MBV juice though just yet. I love their Hawk Sauce , I am also beggining to crave Citrus Bliss and Smooth Criminal from Ahlusion more and more but despite everyone pimping Ahlusion, some of their more popular flavors I found disgusting like Sasparilla, Boba Tea and Pineapple Cream.

If the first thing you did was cranked the voltage/wattage all the way up and took it for a spin, you probably burned your wick. Mt. Baker shouldn't be that bad. I'm not a huge fan. I didn't truly like it, but it was all very good quality and tasted very natural.

I "quit" analogs pretty quickly after I started vaping, but I still had a cig a day for three days, then once a week, then every two... I was very frustrated with vaping when I started. Bad tasting juice, leaky tanks, bad battery... It wasn't the "pick up and forget analogs" kind of experience. I struggled some days. I cheated on others. It took time to straighten everything out, though it's still less than perfect.

I wish you luck. I think you'll have a couple months of trouble shooting ahead of you. But immediately I'm thinking you might not have let the juice soak into the wick long enough and burned your wick, or you cranked up the voltage and burned out the coil. (The exact same thing I did when I got my first variable battery, btw). Replace the atty and try again with new juice.

The thing that concerns me about buying Johnson Creek at this point is there is the potential for them to make a lot of money depending on how this FDA thing shakes out. So they may not wind up being on our side if you will.

I think you'll find over time that the liquid is probably one of the most important things you'll buy. Some have even said that it is the most important. Others may disagree. But if the juice isn't good, or not quite your cup of tea, no equipment, no matter how good it is will make your vaping an enjoyable experience.

You may want to invest in a few trial packs from different suppliers, and see which you like. I have found my taste for liquid has changed over time. So don't throw away anything you don't like. Going back to it at a later date may surprise you.

Read up on steeping, letting any alcohol out, shaking it well etc. It's a mixed bag of advice, but IMO, there is some good advice in there.

Happy you're vaping though. Great news :toast:
